Naia the Mermaid

My sea themed card features one of the new stamps here at Whimsy Stamps this month, Naia the Mermaid.  I absolutely love her and her little turtle pal so hard.

I used the following copic markers:

Skin: E04, 11, 00, 000, 0000, R20
Hair: E55, 53, 51, 50
Mermaid: BG78, 75, 72
Turtle: E43, 42, 41, 40; BG96, 83, YG61

I free-handed some plants and sand to anchor (ha!) the image and added some light with very pale copics (BG0000, 000, 70, G0000, 000)

I used the new Mermaid Scales Stencil and some Iced Spruce Distress Ink to carry the sea theme through on to the backing papers.  The little bubbles and netting are dies from my stash.

I printed out one of the Everyday Banner Sentiments and trimmed the end into a fishtail.

Garden Elegance

Hello, Dorinda here this afternoon.

I must say, shades of purple are probably some of my favorite colors.
Strangely, its all shades surrounding the one color.
Just purple just seems to be wanting more shades. :D

I thought shades of purple quite fitting for my image,
Garden Door and truly the first color that came to mind when I saw this image.

is just one of the many Whimsy Stamps June releases.
This one comes from DoveArt Studios.

Other Whimsy Stamp Products used:

I colored Garden Door up with Copics.
Then using Beaded Curtain Stencil, I stamped through two alternating "shades of purple"

I just love this stencil. It has a beautiful elegance to it.
Perfect company for Garden Door
Then, I distressed up the edges of all layers.

Finally, I added a bit of ribbon and rhinestone.

Wishing you a fantastic rest of your day,

Hello Friend - Special Guest - Wanda Cullen

Hello everyone! I'm super excited to share a project post as a guest
designer for Whimsy Stamps!  Our 3 1/2 year old granddaughter is obsessed with dressing up and one of her favorite roles is being a fairy princess.  It was a no-brainer for me to choose this delightful Whimsy image - Hello Friend - created by Marina Fedotova.  I paired it up with a sentiment from their Shine Brightstamp set designed by Denise Lynn.

I hope I've inspired you to visit the Whimsy Stamps store to check out their large variety of fun, whimsical stamps as well as dies, papers and other great papercrafting products!  A big thank you to Debbie for the invitation to be a guest this week!

PAPER DOOR Enjoy the Journey Ticket

Are you enjoying all the masculine card ideas the Whimsy team has been sharing with you using the Enjoy the Journey PAPER DOOR kit, I know I have been.

This PAPER DOOR kit is just so rich and elegant and makes those often a challenge masculine cards super easy.  Everything on this card (except for black ink and adhesive) was created using this months kit.  There's also step-by-step instructions for this card and many others included as a PDF when you purchase the kit.

I couldn't capture it in the photo but the blue card stock is luscious it has a wide stripe to and a soft sheen, maybe you can see it a little bit in the photo above.  But even if I could capture the textures on all of these gorgeous papers in the kit it still wouldn't do them justice compared to seeing them in real life.  You'll see what I mean when you order your PAPER DOOR kits, we're getting raves about our kits.

I hope you have a wonderfully creative day!

Thanks for stopping by...see you soon,
