Special Guest - Toni Maddox

Hello, Whimsy friends! Today we welcome the amazing Toni Maddox to the blog!

Hi, everyone!  I'm delighted to be guesting on the Whimsy Stamps blog!

With Halloween in the air, I chose to play with a variety of Halloween products, combining them with Caveman Zog for a twist.

Caveman Zog Clear Stamps Goth Skulls Background Rubber Cling Stamp

I sponged the card base using, from the bottom up, Distress Oxide Vintage Photo, Wilted Violet, Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, and Mustard Seed. I then stamped the Goth Skulls randomly onto the background using Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina and Candied Apple.

That tiffany blue really pops against the background colors so I chose to use it to cut out the Hill House, Build a Graveyard fence, and Ugh! outline.

Slimline Hill House Die Build-a-Graveyard Die Set

I colored up Caveman Zog using Copics in the no line style.  He was pretty darn easy to color that way since he's mostly naked so not too many little areas to color--at least not above the loin cloth.

For the sentiment combination, I sponged Distress Oxide Mustard Seed, Candied Apple and a touch of Wilted Violet onto the Ugh! letters. I love the look of the tiffany blue on top of the colors of the background then those colors on top of the tiffany blue.

UGH! Word and Shadow Die Set Comic Speech Bubbles Die Set

I created the sentiment in MS Word and printed it onto printer paper which I then adhered to cardstock for more body.  I cut that out with one of the Comic Speech Bubbles.  I particularly like how it looks nestled beneath Ugh!, don't you?

I hope you enjoyed my card and have a great rest of your week!  If you'd like to check out my other creations, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, my Instagram, or my Pinterest Board.

And, don't forget that the Annual 31 Nights of Halloween blog celebration starts on Friday. You'll see me there for sure!

Special Guest - Jennifer Snyder

Hello, Whimsy fans!  You are in for a treat today as we welcome the talented Jennifer Snyder to the blog!

Today I am thrilled to be a special guest blogger for Whimsy Stamps as we celebrate the start to the Halloween season.   I created shakers cards using some of the sweet and some of the spooky designs.

Whimsy Stamps is more than stamps.  They have an amazing selection of unique dies with a variety of themes including build-a-scene die sets that really caught my eye.

Sweet Shaker Card
Here is my first shaker card - sweet before scary - stamped onto watercolor paper and painted with watercolor pencils.

Easy DIY Instructions
Here are my easy DIY instructions:

I'd also like to take a moment to mention the embellishments added to the card. The shaker mix is Monster Mash Sprinkletz (NK150) shaker mix from Buttons Galore. Totally adorable and perfect for this crazy shaker.

I also added a 3D button Bat and spider also from Buttons Galore and More.  These are from the Happy Hauntings 3D button pack HH104. They make perfect finishing touches.

Next up - spooky.

This card features the  Whimsy Stamps - Build -a-Graveyard Die Set - designed by Deb Davis (Amped2Stamp).  Well actually this is a combo of the sweet and the spooky because I used the sentiments from Spooky Kitties Clear Stamp by Dustin Pike as the stamped sentiments  for the grave stones.

This is the wonderful way to mix and match products.  I like to keep thinking of ways to combine products to get the most "bang for my buck" as the saying goes.

I want to highlight that 31 Days of Halloween hosted by the Whimsy Stamps team.  Stay tuned because there are prizes, frightful inspiration and lots of fun.

Thanks for stopping here today.  Happy crafting.

Whimsy Stamps Digital Divas ~ Wrapping up September

Hey Whimsy friends,
we're back with our final post of the month and we're kicking things off
by sharing the gorgeous creations that our lovely Digital Guest Designer
Larissa Walgemoed has shared with us this month!

September Digital Guest Designer

Larissa's first creation used the cutest wee Autumn Mouse from our September release by Meljen's Designs.
I love the sweet scene she created for this cutie and her gorgeous colouring!

The next image Larissa worked with was this super cute Bat with this candle for our fabulous Dustin Pike Collection
and she had so much fun with this image, she created not one, but two gorgeous cards! I love the fantastic scene
Larissa created with this first card and the shine from the candle. Gorgeous!

How cute is Larissa's second creation with this same stamp?! I love that this is done to add to a Memory Dex,
she's made me want to get one! Such a cool idea to showcase your gorgeous makes like this!
Check out Larissa's post to see this cute creation on her Memory Dex.

Larissa's final creation used the sweetest little Bumble Butterfly bug from the brand new set from
Sylvia Zet called Bug Friends and it has the sweetest collection of adorable wee bugs.
Larissa's sweet scene here is utterly enchanting! I adore her inky background.

Huge thanks to the lovely Larissa Walgemoed for all her gorgeous creations this month,
it was pure pleasure to have her designing with us here at Whimsy this month.

You can check out all the Whimsy Elements Larissa used in her designs via the thumbnails below,

which focused on stamps and elements they love using from their Whimsy stash, so if you missed that,
be sure to go back and have a look at that fabulous showcase.

Our lovely Janette, so enjoyed working with this sweet line of Scarecrows this month,
she made three designs with gorgeous Autumnal paper weave backgrounds! Here they are all together.

We've had so much to showcase today from the release and yet there's still more!
You just can't hold the Divas back, they've been creating up a storm this month,
