Maya and Marissa

Morning!

Just a quick post today to share a creation with this sweet rubber stamp called Maya and Marissa. This is from the Crissy Armstrong Collection and was released in July.

I've gone for a more vintage feel with this card and did lots of distressing on the papers and on the image. The image has crackle glue over it to give the appearance of cracked glass.

To see more Whimsy creations please be sure to scroll down or visit us again tomorrow! And stay tuned as later this week we will share some sneak peeks at the new Holiday release rubber stamps!

Whimsy Wedding

Happy Friday everyone!

Today I have a brand new card to share with you that is a little different from my normal Copic-coloured offerings - a vintage-style wedding easel card:

Although I didn't use an actual image stamp on this card, I did use 4 Whimsy stamps from 4 different stamp sets to create the wedding cake.  No template was used - I simply sketched the cake before cutting, stamping and distressing all the 'tiers' and then popped them all together!  I used my awesome Bow Easy (TM) to create the tiny bow for the cake - wouldn't have been able to do it without it, LOL!  I don't mind admitting that I spent a LONG time adding and taking away embellishments for this card, so that it would look 'just right'. I also stamped and distressed the hydrangeas that are behind the brown roses - they started life as plain, stark white until I attacked them with a French script stamp and brown ink, LOL!!

Whimsy Stamps used:

'Cake stand' swirl - Whimsy Stamps Party Pony stamp set
'Swirl' stamped in brown on the pale blue cake tiers - Whimsy Stamps Proud Momma stamp set
'Heart swirl' stamped in brown on the kraft cake tier - Whimsy Stamps Untamed Love stamp set
'Heart' at the top of the cake - Whimsy Stamps Snippets Set 1

Thank you for dropping by!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Ride Em Cowgirl

Hi and happy Thursday!

I have a fun card to share today using one of Meljens quite recent images called Ride Em Cowgirl - isn't she just so fun and lively, seems she would ride right off the card!! I was having oodles of fun putting this card together - just kept adding bits and bobs and roughing up the papers and doing the faux stitching ... didn't even notice that I'd spent about 5 hours on twiddling, lol.

I also used a sentiment from Raindrop Echo Designs - it's from Gift Horse set but all of the sentiments in that set would fit the lil' cowgirl perfectly!

We have a LOT of exciting stuff coming up soon at Whimsy, you better keep your eyes peeled! And don't forget to check out the custom rubber stamps - the are utterly gorgeous!!

That's all from me today - thanks for looking and happy crafting!
Hugs

Aw, So tweet

Afternoon Whimsy Friends!!!

I hope you are doing wonderfully on this gorgeous Wednesday!  I have a card to share with you today that I created for my friend's wedding.  They had super cute invitations with little pigs on them so I thought these little birdies were close enough to that!
This image is Aw, so tweet by Katie Sowa.  It was released awhile ago, but is still available to download whenever you need it!
The sentiment is a digi sentiment from the Aw, so tweet sentiments created by Ann Vento for Whimsy.  Pop on over to the store to see Ann's newest creations, custom rubber stamps!  They are amazing!
Keep checking this space and the DT blogs for sneak peeks of the newest collection to be released on Oct. 3!!!

Shy-Ann

Happy Monday everyone!

Today I'd like to share one of my older Whimsy creations using the gorgeous Shy-Ann rubber stamp, designed for Whimsy by Katie Sowa:

I adore purple, but it find it a very difficult colour to work with craft-wise.  I'm not really sure why, as I have two beautiful 'sets' of purple copics that blend perfecly!!  Anyhoo, taking inspiration from this scrummy Basic Grey Kioshi pad helped me loads when making this card, and I just love that I thought to colour her eyes purple too! I would love to try out purple eyes, but am too squeamish to wear contacts, hee hee!

We have some VERY exciting events here at Whimsy starting at the end of this month!!  So the DT are very busy at the moment working behind the scenes creating for them!  I shall be back here on Friday with some more Whimsy inspiration, so be sure to stop by as I may even be able to tell you what's coming the week after! *wink* :o)

Hope you have a wonderful day and thanks for dropping by for a little bit of Whimsy Inspiration!

Hugs, Simonne x

Inspirational Sentiments....

Hello it's me Patricia, it's my turn to share on the Whimsy blog, I want to share with you these two cards I made with the New Digi Inspirational Sentiments by Ann Vento from Whimsy Stamps.

I left my cards really simple and just added a touch of color to each one, used some embossed folders to give them extra texture that way they wont look too white..

I really liked making these cards using a sentiment and no image, these are my first ones I make and definitely not my last.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope everyone enjoys their Friday!!

Whimsy Store Update #2 and New Meljen's Designs

Good Morning,

The Whimsy Stamps Online Store has been offline for the past few days, as we have been upgrading our hosting server to support all of our great customers, and the increased demand we have been experiencing over the past few months.  Please accept our sincerest apology for any inconvenience this has caused you.  We greatly appreciate your patience and support.

Our tech support team has been feverishly working to make the transition, but an issue that occurred with our store during the transition has forced us to do a full restore of our database. The good news is they will be able to get us back online - the bad news is it may take as many as 7 to 10 days to do so.  Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and promise that while we may not be online, we are still working to serve our customers.

All orders placed before the server switch have been shipped and/or are pending shipment. We are waiting on custom orders which should be here on Friday, September 17th.  Those orders will be shipped immediately.  If you have ordered digital stamp products and you did not have access to retrieve those files, please email us at whimsystamps@gmail.com and we will promptly send you the files via email.

Lastly, if anyone would like to place an order while we are offline, you can email us at whimsystamps@gmail.com and we will send you an invoice through PayPal and process your order as soon as possible.  Digital stamp orders can be filled via email and I can ship out rubber stamp products. If you are willing to email orders, we are more than willing to provide you with the best customer service possible to get you what you need.

We do have many exciting events and promotions planned for the coming weeks at Whimsy and we are determined to not let those plans be affected by this…let's just call it… a mess! We will continue to bring our customers new digital and rubber stamps and we will be back better than ever!  Please hang in there with us, check for updates on Facebook and our Whimsy Inspirations Blog.  We will post any new updates as soon as they are available.

Thank you sincerely for your continued support and patronage.
Denise

Whimsy Stamps Store UPDATE

*This message has been copied from my personal blog....

Morning,

I am sure many of you have noticed that the Whimsy Stamps store is off line. On Sunday we closed the store for what we thought would be 24 hours to perform maintenance on the store and move everything to a new server. We had been having many server issues in recent weeks and were hopeful that moving to a new server would remedy that.

Well, now more than 96 hours later the server switch is done but the store has crashed. I do have someone who helps me with tech support as I am not savvy when it comes to the admin side of running a website. She is working very hard to restore things, but every time she makes a little head way something else goes wrong.  And because I don't know how to help her, I really don't have any information as to when things will be fixed.

At this time I have no idea when the store will be back on line and while I sit here in a puddle of my own tears, I am at a loss for what to do. I am SO sorry to my artists and all of my loyal customers. If I had ever known something like this could/would happen, I would have lived with the old server and suffered through. It was never my intention to be off line for as long as we have and each day makes me sadder and sadder.

I do want everyone who placed orders before the server went down to know that I have those records printed out and your product(s) will be on the way to you shortly. Custom designs will be arriving here tomorrow and shipping out ASAP. If you have purchased a digital image and were not able to retrieve it, just shoot me an email and I will send you your file. Again, I would like to apologize for the delays and confusion and all this inconvenience.

Please do know that I am not giving up! Even if it means starting the store over, I will have it up and running again. We have some amazing things coming in the next few weeks and I can't wait for you to be able to see. I just need sone time to get things going again. And if you hang in there with me, I will have a little surprise for you when we return.

Thank you to all of those who have sent comments and emails of support. Whimsy has the BEST friends and customers. And we will return....just not exactly sure on the time. I will post updates here and on the Whimsy Blog as often as I have new information. Thanks everyone.

Please scroll down to see Crystal's wonderful creation posted this morning!

Happy Tuesday Everyone!!  Today is my day to share some of the awesome images available at Whimsy Stamps. Here is my creation using  School Time Bunny designed by Meljen's available at Whimsy stamps.  I just think is the sweetest bunny...so I created a bookmark and card with it to send with a few books I bought for my niece Ariel to read in her spare time (yeah right...spare time in her freshmen year of college...LOL!  She loves the Take One series by Karen Kingsbury so I had to buy her a few with a bunch of other goodies.)

The dp is from October Afternoon Fly a Kite and My Mind's Eye Be Loved. The sentiment is computer generated.  I just had to use my new Spellbinders Lacey Circles and Square dies!!

Here is the bookmark I created to go with it:

Some Merry Cheer and a Birthday!

Hi there!  I have a little a Christmas card to share today! I am trying to get a jumpstart on my cards this time!  I used the absolutely lovable "Jolly Puppy Kisses," by Crissy Armstrong.  I colored them up with Copics.  The sentiment is from the "Holiday Postmarks," set.  I embossed the white background strips with CB Snowflakes.  The paper is from a stash I have...not sure the maker!
Next I have this card using "Party Pony." I made it for my friend's daughter. She is 4 and she LOVES horses!  So I used Copics to color, DCWV papers and some other stuff from my stash. The sentiment is Whimsy and a mini alphabet set I have.

Thanks for checking it out today and have a Happy Sunday!

It's your day...enjoy it and eat cake :)

Hello!

Today I would like to share with you one of my cards which I made using some of the Whimsy rubber stamps, released in July.

All the three stamps I used are from the Birthday Letter Seals, a wonderful set designed by Raindropecho Designs. I used one of the circles (there are three in the set) and two sentiment stamps (and there are six). I used: "It's Your Day...Enjoy It" and "Eat Cake". I made a mini easel card, the base is only 3 inches. I used distressing and added some lace, ribbon and flowers.

Don't forget about the wonderful new custom rubber stamps at Whimsy Stamps, which are now available! There are so many beautiful designs to choose from!
Thank you for stopping by and have a lovely weekend! :)

Hugs
Vanja

Touchdown,,,

Good morning everyone. Today I have a couple cute images to share with you. The first is Fall Ball bear designed by MelJen with the coordinating Touchdown Word Art. What a super fun image! The sentiment is part of the Look Ma No Hands set by Ann Vento. All images at available here.

And the second is also by MelJen and is called TeaCup Mouse. I went for a vintage look with this card, but the image is so versatile you could really do any style. Also don't forget Whimsy now has Custom Rubber Stamps available for order, check them out they are fabulous! Have a great day!
