Hello Whimsy fans, Simonne here!
Today, I'd like to share a card that I've just made using Water Lily - one of the fabulous brand new Whimsy Mythical Collection stamps designed exclusively for Whimsy by Katie Sowa:
I adore purple, but I usually shy away from it when making cards, as I've not had much success with it in the past. However, as soon as I stamped up Water Lily, I just knew that I had to use my (slightly neglected ... oops!) Basic Grey 'Wisteria' 6x6 paper pad, and of course the main 'colour' of those papers is purple, LOL! I added some Icicle Stickles to both Lily's wings and the 'water' dripping from the watering can - well, you can't have a fairy without glitter, can you? Hee hee! Ooh, and I also used my most favourite technique in the world and paper pieced Lily's dress (adding some shading with my Copics).
Finally, I just want to remind you that Whimsy has a fab Winter Clearance Sale going on at the moment, with 20% off selected winter-themed images (including the AWESOME Whimsy Holidya Postmarks stamp set - one of my all-time fave sentiment stamp sets - which includes sentiment stamps for New Years, Valentines, Easter, Christmas, Halloween and Thanksgiving!). No coupon codes are necessary as prices are already discounted.
Also, Whimsy Stamps are now stocking a wonderful range of embellishments including Prima mulberry paper roses, cherry blossoms, bling and charms!
Well, that's it from me for today! Be sure to pop back tomorrow for some more Whimsy Inspiration!
Thanks for stopping by!
