It's Andrea with you for day 5 of this fun collaboration between Whimsy Stamps and Tombow. I hope you've enjoyed this week as much as the designers have! I, for one, have been blown away by all of the awesome projects this week! Hopefully, I'll inspire you today as I have two cards to share with you.
My first card features the new Slimline Windows Die and the Penguin Farts and Penguin Poop stamp sets. I first stamped those fun penguins with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with the new ABT PRO Markers from Tombow. These markers are alcohol-based like Copics, and I was really impressed with how well they blend and how vivid the colors are. After coloring the penguins, I cut them out (There are coordinating dies for Penguin Farts).
ABT PRO Markers: PN65, PN75, PN95, PN55, P905, P925, P933, P985, P991,
P491, P451, P452, P476, P555

I created a slimline cardbase (3.5" x 8.5") from white cardstock and die-cut the Slimline Windows Die from black cardstock. I also die-cut some Chilly Designer Papers with the Slimline Windows Die. Onto the solid papers, I white heat-embossed sentiments from both stamp sets. After adhering the black frame to my card, I inlaid the smaller die-cuts.
For my second card, I created a snowy scene with the Glitter Globe set and the Slimline Waves Die.
I first stamped those cute images from Glitter Globe with Versafine Onyx Black ink and then watercolored them with Tombow Dual Brush Pens. Once my images were dry, I die-cut them with the coordinating dies and added details with a white gel pen.
Tombow Dual Brush Pens:
Trees - 173, 177, 969
Snowman - 291, 933, 565, N25, N95, 743
Penguin - N25, 933, 025, 845, 847, N95, 245, 249
Deer - 977, N95, 969, 803
I attached the trimmed-down hills to the back of my frame with liquid adhesive. To account for the extra dimension of the cardstock hills, I die-cut a second frame, removed the inside slopes with scissors, and adhered it to the back of my original frame. After adhering my background to a card with foam tape, I affixed my colored images. I stamped a sentiment from Glitter Globe with Versafine Onyx Black ink, die-cut it with the Quick Strips Dies, and popped it onto my card with foam tape. For some sparkle I brushed clear sparkle over the hills and added snowflakes die-cut from glitter cardstock with the Shaker Maker Glitter Globe Dies.
