We are thrilled to have the talented Ashley Ebben as a guest this month!
Hello, everyone! I am so excited to be guest designing for Whimsy Stamps this month! For my first card, I knew I wanted to use one of the adorable Bunny Balloons sets, but it was so hard to choose which one! I finally ended up going with this little guy from Bunny Balloons 2. His bow tie and vest are just the cutest things, don't you think?!
I fell in love with the Blurry Flurries paper pack the moment I saw it, so I decided to use one of the bokeh pieces as my color inspiration for the card. I used the Slimline Connected Bubbles die to create a cloud stencil by tracing the outside of it onto thick white cardstock and cutting it out. I stamped the sun from the Splash set in black ink onto white cardstock and masked it off. I then used my new stencil to create a cloudy sky using Distress Oxides in Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, and Mermaid Lagoon. I cut the ink blended piece down with a stitched rectangle die and added it to the bokeh paper that was my inspiration.
I stamped the bunny from Bunny Balloons 2 and the clouds from Splash onto white cardstock and colored with Copics. I fussy cut everything out and added them to the card, popping the bunny and some clouds up with foam tape for dimension. I stamped the sentiment from Splash in black ink and finished with a scattering of iridescent crystals for some sparkle.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
