Have you been enjoying our 31 Nights of Halloween event as much as I have? There are still a few days left, more prizes to win, and, of course, the grand prize. Read more about it here.
My post today is one where you can win the Goth prize pack comprised of the Goth Girl and Goth Star sets along with the Goth Dies. To enter, let me know in the comments the Halloween costume you would love to wear/design but never have. Let your imagination go wild!
Now on to my card!
I stamped the Goth Skulls Background onto the red cardstock using Versamark and embossed it with clear embossing powder. The shine really makes it pop. The base cardstock peeking out around the Wavy Pierced Rectangle also has a bit of shine.
I cut out a piece of wood-grain cardstock and sponged it with Distress Oxide Vintage Photo for Morticia's stake. I used a length of hand-dyed baby yarn for the rope that binds Morticia.
For the flames I used the wings from the Gothic Dies, sponging them with Distress Oxide Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin and Mustard Seed. The Morticia is stamped in Versamark on one of the Gothic Dies hearts and embossed with Ranger White Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder.
If you'd like to check out my other creations, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, my Instagram, or my Pinterest Board.
Have a spooktacular rest of your week! And don't forget to let me know in the comments the Halloween
costume you would love to wear/design but never have for your chance to win the Goth Prize Pack!
great card!
ReplyDeleteSuch a faBOOlously spooktacular card! Love that skully BG!
ReplyDeleteThis may sound silly, but I think it would be fun to be a
princess! Growing up, I was never the princess. I was chubby
and certainly never felt like one. So to be a princess for one
night would be lovely! :-)
Great card! Love the embossed background... awesome effect!
ReplyDeleteI'd be Sally Skellington for Halloween if I could be anything I wanted!
Spooky! Love the red and embossing!
ReplyDeleteGreat card - love the 'rope' idea around the 'burning witch'!!!
ReplyDeleteI would like to be a scary zombie - but I am terrible at face painting and would make the face too cute - lol
I'd like to go as a Sesame Street character. Maybe cookie monster. That would be great. Bring on the cookies! [Bunny]`
ReplyDeleteI love the flames you created with the wings die! So clever!
ReplyDeleteIf I could dress up as anyone for Halloween, it would be Harley Quinn. I think that would be great fun! :)
The Charlie Brown ghost...with a LOT of holes cut into it.
ReplyDeleteFun Toni!
ReplyDeleteAwesome card and
ReplyDeletelove the ways you
used the wings and
wood stamp.
Carla from Utah
FLAMING FABULOUS card!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your SPOOKTACULAR scene - WOW - SO MUCH detail in your design and you have finished it off perfectly with the "rope" - LOVE IT ALL :)
I'm always the wicked witch, I'm perfecting my cackle as I type. One day I would love to try "Day Of The Dead", my SIL looked amazing a few years ago with her face made up in stunning detail, she wore a ruffled dress and a huge black hat with red roses around the rim ... much more exciting than a boring black clothed witch!
Goth-eriffic! Morticia is super staked to that stake with the rope and red skull background! Flames! The flames were burning!!! This is superb!
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to dress up and scare folks and usually achieve a pretty good result (very scary I be!) but if I had to pick someone that I have never been, I would say an Indian princess. Think how beautiful Stands-with-a-fist looks when she is getting married to Kevin Costner's character in 'Dances with Wolves'. That beautiful white hide deer dress she is wearing, oh my goodness! Just divine; and moccasins to match. I think that would be a great change from my usual look of horror!
Great card. I love the embossing. I would dress up as Maleficent.
ReplyDeleteLove the skulls background stamp! I'd be the naughty nurse...of course.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a spectacular card. I think you nailed the color combination and that background is stunning. So my costume that I would love to wear is Gwen Stacy the Spider-woman AS SOON as it's not so tight fitting!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your card! I have always wanted to be a vampy Cleopatra! :)
ReplyDeleteThis card is BRILIANT Toni...BRILLIANT!
ReplyDeleteEeek, this is spooky-licious!! I've always wanted to be Glinda the Good Witch from Wizard of Oz. I was always in awe of her beautiful, sparkling gown. It's also my favorite movie of all time!
ReplyDeletegreat flames!
ReplyDeleteI would like to be a vampire.
