ThermOWeb & Whimsy Stamps Collaboration Day Five

This week Whimsy Stamps and ThermOWeb are partnering for a fabulous week of inspiration and prizes!  All week long designers from both teams will be sharing ways to add foils and more to your projects using products from ThermOWeb and Whimsy Stamps.  Read to the end of this post to find out how you can win!

Hello and welcome to this amazing collaboration.
Dorinda with you today.
I've got double delights so bear with the long post.

ThermOWeb products on the first project are:
Gina K Designs Fancy Foilsin Jelly Bean Green

The Peekaboo Windows Die 3 was used to cut out two sets; one in the blue card stock for the base and one in white for the images.
I carefully taped down my base and Farmhouse Greenery Stencil to make sure it was secure.
With the Deco Foil Transfer Gel and a palette knife, I applied the gel smoothly and evenly across the stencil.
The gel dries in about 15 minutes.
When the gel was thoroughly dry, I lay a sheet of Gina K Designs Fancy Foilsin Jelly Bean Green on top and ran through laminator.
To add back the die detail I'd lost, I placed the piece back in the Windows die and ran it back through my Big Shot. In hindsight, I could have done the gel first but I hate to waste product.
I cut from the Deco Foil Toner Sheets 3 circles just slightly larger than the pop outs of the Peekaboo Windows Die 3 and placed my copic colored pieces from the Dinosaur Friends Stamp Set over so that there is just a hint of the jelly bean showing. I think it added nice frame to the images.
Taking a tape runner, I carefully ran a strip along the edges of the dinosaur and added the jelly bean to it as well.
To add some shine to the birds, I added Wink of Stella in clear

Look at that texture from the Deco Foil Transfer Gel and the shine!!!
That was loads of fun. So much I had to do another.

Thermo O Web Products I've used on the second project are:
Grass and Cloud Edger Die

I've colored up the Mammoth (special shout out to Jenn Dove for the inspiration) from the Woolly Mammoth Set with copics.
For the clouds I've cut out two pieces from the Deco Foil Toner Sheets with the Grass and Cloud Edger Die. A piece of foil was then cut from Deco Foil Transfer Sheets in Ocean Blue to just larger than the die cut for one cloud. The same was done with Deco Foil Fancy Foils in Silver. Placing the pretty foil side up on top of the black toner piece; they were placed into a piece of parchment and ran through the Royal Sovereign's laminator. This adhered foil to toner die cut piece. To create the lighter blue shade,  I air sprayed the Silver using copics.

Next, I've cut three grass pieces from the Deco Foil Toner Sheets. Again using the Grass and Cloud Edger Die. The foils applied were Deco Foil Transfer Sheets in Green and Gina K Designs Fancy Foils in Jelly Bean Green

I've cut just a bit under Woolly Mammoth's feet to slide a grass layer directly under him and adjusted the grass appropriately.

Below I've applied light to show the brilliance of the metallic from the foils.

We can't forget the inside of the card so I've taken Gina K Designs Foil Mates Sentiments in True Friend and an extra piece of the sprayed silver and ran it through as before. The Foil Mates have been printed with toner to create a ready to foil piece. The sentiment was then cut out with a stitched circle die. Using a slightly larger die, I've cut a circle of Deco Foil Toner Sheets to frame my sentiment.
With the Deco Foil Transfer Sheets in Ocean Blue ran through the laminator, the pieces have been joined.

Here is the side view showing the shine.

Wow, you've made it to the end.
Thanks for staying with me.
Read on for some exciting news from both companies.
