This week Whimsy Stamps and ThermOWeb are partnering for a fabulous week of inspiration and prizes! All week long designers from both teams will be sharing ways to add foils and more to your projects using products from ThermOWeb and Whimsy Stamps. Read to the end of this post to find out how you can win!
I’m thrilled to be part of this special collaboration! I’ve been a fan of ThermoWeb (and Whimsy, of course!) for ages and ages so had LOTS and LOTS of ideas on what I wanted to do.
I started by foiling a piece of TW toner sheet with TW aqua foil. (A little aside: I’ve tried out a variety of different foils and have found TWs to work the best for me.) I die cut that with one of the Wavy Edgers dies. I did the same to cardstock I had sponged with Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers. You can see I also sponged the card base with Distress Oxides and spattered the lot with water.
Next I used the TW Memory Tape Runner to adhere the foil and sponged cardstocks together. Isn't that shine amazing? I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to use the runner along the curves.
I stamped the images from Arrgg Pirates and Whale of a Time using Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them with Copics. I love how the Whale of a Time dolphin turned out. So pretty in pink!
The sentiment is stamped with Versamark and embossed with Ranger White Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder.
My second card uses a Deco Foil Cobwebs and Cauldrons Clear Toner Sheet with Spring Green Deco Foil. I cut that down to card front size before foiling. Beneath is a panel of watercolor paper colored with Brushos.
Check out that shine! I colored up the Creepy Clown using bright Copics. I have to admit I was a bit freaked out coloring him up. I couldn't help but think of American Horror Story: Carnival. Shiver.
The sentiment is embossed and die cut with one of the Quick Strip dies. I love all the different shapes!
Would you like to win a $25 gift certificate to Whimsy Stamps? To enter, leave comments on all of the collaboration posts on the Whimsy blog this week. One winner will be randomly chosen from all of the blog posts, so the more posts you comment on, the better your chances are of winning! You have until Monday, February 11th at midnight CST to comment. The winner will be announced on the Whimsy blog on Tuesday, February 12th.
ThermOWeb is also offering a gift certificate, so be sure to visit their blog each day this week for more inspiration. Leave comments on their blog for another chance to win!

Lovely cards!
ReplyDeleteBoth these cards are totally gorgeous! I'm in love for the cutest dolphin!!!
ReplyDeletethese are amazing cards!
ReplyDeleteWhat fab cards. Great colouring, I like that you show us the actual colours you've used by showing the tops of your markers, the reason I like that you do that is,when people write the colour in numbers, I cant work out what colour is closest to it by number, showing the coloured markers like you do it shows me the colour, so I can match my colours to yours if I don't have that exact colour. (Hope that makes sense lol)
ReplyDeleteFABULOUS cards Toni!
