Hi Whimsy Friends, Iris here. Today I want to show you how I made this card using the Pine Bough background stamp , Elegant Ornament clear stamp set and Elegant Ornament die.
Here is how I made my card:
To create the background I started out stamping the Pine Bough background stamp onto Strathmore mixed media paper
using Versafine Clair Morning Mist gray ink.
Then I used Karin Brushmarker Pro pens and a waterbrush to color the image.
I added finishing touches with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils.
Colors used:
Karin Brushmarker Pro:
Olive Green
Olive Black
Curry
Praline
Rosewood
Sepia
Arctic Blue
Faber Castell Polychromos:
Van Dyck Brown
Dark Sepia
Light Blue
Dark Phthalo Blue
Ivory
To give the Elegant Ornaments some extra shine I stamped 2 of the Christmas bauble images onto thick, clear acetate sheet with Versamark ink. I carefully heat embossed with Ranger Enchanted Gold embossing powder.
I die cut the acetate ornaments as well as some plain ornaments from violet shimmer cardstock using the Elegant Ornament die.
I also stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Elegant Ornament clear stamp set on acetate sheet
and heat embossed with WOW Pearl Gold Sparkle embossing powder. I then cut it out using scissors.
My card base is a A2 size, top fold. The black layer is 4" x 5 1/4" and the white layer
measures 3 1/2" x 5". I adhered the embossed clear acetate ornaments on top of the violet die cut ornaments using glue.

Then I arranged everything on my card front before attaching all the layers, pine bough background, ornament and sentiment.
As a final touch I decided to add some gold half pearls as strings for the ornaments.
