Whimsy Stamps and Therm O Web Collaboration Day 4 - Tricia

It's Tricia here today to share with you more with Whimsy Stamps and Therm O Web Collaboration!   We have a fabulous week of inspiration and prizes! Be sure to visit both blogs all week to enter to win and be inspired by products from Whimsy Stamps and Therm O Web!

I am sharing two cards that I made with the amazing Rina K Designs Neon Pop Glitz Glitter Gels for my projects today: Hello Yellow, Screamin' Green, Orange Glow and Poppin' Pink!  I had so much fun playing with these Glitz Glitter Gels and Whimsy Stencils!  

For my first project, I used the Tiger Stripes stencil and black cardstock.   I used the Orange Glow and Hello Yellow Neon Pop Glitz Glitter Gels.   These are so cool!   They change colors depending on how the light hits the cardstock!   They also feel like they glow!  

I stamped the Space Dragon and trimmed it out with my Scan and Cut.   I then colored it with my Copic Markers.   I added details with a white gel pen and some crystal glaze around the helmet.   

 I used the Burst Background Stamp and stamped black ink onto a grey card base.   I then trimmed my stenciled panel with the Pierced and Stitched Circle Die set.   I thought it looked cool as a planet!  I added a sentiment from another stamp set called Fishing Dragon.  For a final touch, I added some crystal clear sequins. 

For my next project, I used all of the Rina K Designs Neon Pop Glitz Glitter Gels in Hello Yellow, Screamin' Green, Orange Glow and Poppin' Pink! So much fun!  

For my main image, I used the Unicorn Sparkle Stamp set and colored it with Copic markers and then cut it out with my Scan and Cut.   I added some crystal liquid to the centers of the flowers and then added some iridescent glitter.  You can't have too much sparkle with a card like this!  

I used the Star Galaxy Stencil from Whimsy Stamps.  Look at at sparkle!   I die cut with the FaDoodles Frames Scalloped Rectangle die set.   I die cut the panel with the Pierced and Stitched Circle die set.   to finish it off, I used the Quick Strip Die set and stamped a sentiment from Penguin Poop stamp set.    

 Now for the fun stuff!

Clean and Simple Cards with Split Stencil Backgrounds

Hello, Whimsy friends! Lisa here with you today sharing two clean and simple cards featuring one of my favorite backgrounds, split stencil backgrounds. I have a video tutorial over on the Whimsy Stamps YouTube Channel, be sure to check it out. 

TWO STENCIL SPLIT

I start with a 4.25" x 5.5" 110lb card base, lay stencil over the card base, secure in place with adhesive spray or purple tape/ painter's tape. Mask the center of the stencil with cardstock cut to 2.75" x 3.5" or use a masking stencil. Run purple tape across straight across the center of the stencil. 

Apply ink using a blender brush to the top half of the card base. Remove stencil. 

Replace with Teadrop Splash stencil, replace masking to the center of the stencil, and apply ink using blender brush to the bottom half of the cardbase. 

ONE STENCIL SPLIT

Cover a 4.25" x 5.5" card base with the Giraffe stencil, place masking in the center of the stencil, and run purple tape straight across the center. 

Apply ink to the top half of the card base using a blender brush. 

Apply ink to the bottom half of the card base using a blender brush. 

Stamp images onto 80lb smooth cardstock and color.

Cut gold foil cardstock to 1/8" wide then into 7/8" sections. Apply to the card between stenciled areas using liquid adhesive and a T-Ruler

Add images using round foam adhesives. 

Stamp sentiments and add to the card base with foam adhesive strips.

Special Guest - Candice Fisher - Panda Butt

Hey there Whimsy Fans, today we have a post from our special guest Candice Fisher. Candice's fresh and fun stamping style caught our eye on Instagram and we couldn't be happier that she's our special guest for the month of May! It already looks like from her very first post that Whimsy Stamps and Candice are a great match up!

Alright crafty friends, if you have not seen the Whimsy Stamps Company before you are in for a treat! This company has many different styles created by talented crafters that goes with many different styles of creating! I am partial to Deb Davis's collection, the designs are perfect for my creating style! I am jumping up and down for joy to have been asked to be a Guest Designer with them this month of May! I will be sharing a card a week with you guys so keep your eyes open for my creations this month!

 

My first card I have to share with you is using a few of their fabulous products, all from Deb Davis's collection at Whimsy stamps:

• Panda Butt stamp set
• Gingham background stamp
• Sun rays stencil

This card was a simple one to create but has a really great WOW factor! The adorable pandas really pop on this design!

 

To start my card I create a card base of 5 x 6.5 using thick white cardstock. I then stamped another piece of thick white cardstock with the amazingly versatile gingham background stamp using barely beige ink and die cut with a stitched border. I absolutely LOVE stamps that I can use to create my own pattern backgrounds in the colors that go with my card! For the center design, I inked the sun rays stencil on trimmed watercolor paper using shabby shutters and bundled sage oxide inks and then die cut the three windows. I then stamped the sentiment in the little circle left from the sun rays stencil. I love the little space that had enough room for my sentiment!

 

I stamped the adorable pandas and bamboo from the panda butt stamp set, colored with copic markers, and fussy cut out, but they do have the awesome coordinating dies to make your life easier! To put it all together, I glued the bamboo to the bottom of the windows and left them free along the top and pop dotted the adorable pandas around the windows. I hope I have inspired you to create with these adorable pandas, Whimsy stamps are extremely affordable and adorable!

Bundled Up with special guest Kathy Schweinfurth

It's been so fun guesting with Whimsy Stamps!  Today I have a new project created with this adorable Bundled Up Amped2Stamp set designed by Deb Davis!

For my card, I first used the larger die from the Card Builder Window set cutting kraft cardstock.  I then used white embossing paste with the Pinwheels Stencil.  I love the way the stencil image looks like snowflakes!

For the small background, I cut white cardstock using one of the dies in the Card Builder Window Die Set and sponged distress oxide ink then stamped the smaller tree from the Bundled Up stamp set.  These images are the absolute cutest...especially the bunnies!  I had to add one of the bunnies to the tab - also from Card Builder Window Die Set - and stamped one of the Bundled Up sentiments.
