Special Guest - Candice Fisher - Panda Butt

I am absolutely in love with these pandas from the Panda Butt stamp set, just look at those cheeks (this stamp set has both kind of cheeks, hehe!) I love that the stamp sets from Deb Davis's collection at Whimsy Stamps take center stage and you really can keep your cards simple and showcase their cuteness!

This card was a quick one, but has a lot of detail that makes it look more advanced. Also, it helps that when coloring pandas, it's pretty basic and goes quickly! For this card, I used these Whimsy Stamps products:

To start my card, I created a 5 x 6.5 card base from thick white cardstock. I then die cut the hearts layover using dies, but you could also use your cameo or cricut too, using the same thick white cardstock as my base. Next, I stamped the gingham background using black versafine ink for a detailed black image. I used the same versafine to stamp the hugs sentiment and the hang in there sentiment. I then stamped the cutest panda ever & the bamboo, colored with copics, and fussy cut out, but you can get the coordinating dies to make it much easier!

To put it all together, I pop dotted the heart layover on the gingham piece and glued to the card above the sentiment. I added the panda and bamboo above the hugs. I felt the card needed a little more, and I added the banner. To create the banner, I heat embossed the take care panda bear with black, die cut the small banner, and inked with tattered rose. For my simple embellishments, I added some enamel dots in the color of the panda cheeks and banner. I can't tell you how much I love these stamp designs by Deb Davis, even my husband has commented how much he loves her stamp sets!   GD whimsy stamps card 1

My first card I have to share with you is using a few of their fabulous products, all from Deb Davis's collection at Whimsy stamps:
This card was a simple one to create but has a really great WOW factor! The adorable pandas really pop on this design!

To start my card I create a card base of 5 x 6.5 using thick white cardstock. I then stamped another piece of thick white cardstock with the amazingly versatile gingham background stamp using barely beige ink and die cut with a stitched border. I absolutely LOVE stamps that I can use to create my own pattern backgrounds in the colors that go with my card! For the center design, I inked the sun rays stencil on trimmed watercolor paper using shabby shutters and bundled sage oxide inks and then die cut the three windows. I then stamped the sentiment in the little circle left from the sun rays stencil. I love the little space that had enough room for my sentiment!

I stamped the adorable pandas and bamboo from the panda butt stamp set, colored with copic markers, and fussy cut out, but they do have the awesome coordinating dies to make your life easier! To put it all together, I glued the bamboo to the bottom of the windows and left them free along the top and pop dotted the adorable pandas around the windows. I hope I have inspired you to create with these adorable pandas, Whimsy stamps are extremely affordable and adorable!

Please share your creations on Whimsy Stamps Inspirations on Facebook with us and you can join the monthly challenge at Facebook too!

Thank you for visiting and see you in a week! Candice

Shake That Booty

Panda butts! Is there anything cuter?  Well, yes, but panda butts are particularly cute, especially the ones in the new Whimsy Panda Butt set! I love them so much I was inspired to make 2 cards. Plus, I didn't want to waste my experimental background!

This is the first card I had made where I first experimented with bamboo placement. Really simple card with just a bit of sponging, the bamboo stamping and then coloring up a couple of the pandas.

With the second card I cut apart the first card's initial bamboo background experiment that I hadn't liked although it was perfect for using with the Peekaboo Windows 2 die.  I used the Messy Mesh Background to make my own patterned paper on the card base.

Now tell me. Could anything be easier to color than pandas?  Not a lot going on there palette wise, am I right?!  And these sentiments are perfect for images--eeeeeeeeeeee!
