Goth Princess

Toni here with you today. Now this was a FUN card to make using the new OmgiGoth set. I love getting messy! With gloves on.  Duh.

I used Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock for the base and randomly smeared on Distress Ink Candied Apple, Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet and Distress Oxide Weathered Wood. I then stamped the Goth Skulls Background using VersaFine Onyx Black.

I wanted a bit more texture so I used the Whimsy Halloween Creatures stencil with PaperArtsy Grunge Paste. Once dry, I rubbed on a bit of the Distress Oxides.  Not tooooo creepy.

Next I stamped the OmgiGoth image using Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her up using Copics.

I thought the background still lacked a bit of something so I stamped one of the OmiGoth sentiments randomly over the card base using Versamark and Ranger White Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder. I also stamped some of the Cute but Psycho spatters using VersaFine Onyx Black.

For the main card sentiment, I stamped it using Versamark and Ranger White Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder onto a strip of scrap black cardstock and cut it up. I mounted "freak" and the goth girl image on foam tape. Gotta make sure the important stuff is obvious!

31 Nights of Halloween - Night 27

Hello and welcome to Day 27 of the 31 Nights of Halloween!

My card tonight is made using the Web Background stamp with Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Grape Juice, and the fabulous Halloween Creatures stencil.

I stamped the sentiment from the Howling Night stamp set with Versamark, and heat embossed it with White Embossing Powder. After trimming out the lower section of black cardstock to fit my card front, I drew stitching around the edges with a Uniball Signo Gel Pen.

To add the spiders, I used Versafine CLAIR in Nocturne over the stencil since I was going to heat emboss them with Clear Embossing Powder

To get the spider web string details and spider leg points, I used a small sponge dauber and touched up with a black Micron pen. After they were embossed, I added a little “shine” to the spiders with the same gel pen I used for the faux stitching.

And to finish everything off, I added a pretty ribbon along the black cardstock, then adhered everything together with some glue tape.

Thank you for reading today! Come back tomorrow evening for more spooky inspiration!

Hello, and welcome to another day of the 31 Nights of Halloween Blog Celebration where I not only have a card to share but also a fabulous Paper Door Kit to give away, details below.

My card is super quick and easy.  All I did was ink through the Halloween Creatures stencil with some black ink (dab the blending tool over the spiders till you get the depth of colour you want, rubbing the ink on may smear the ink under the fine spiders legs).  I finished off the spider with an enamelled dot on their bellies and finished it off with a stamped sentiment from this months CAS stamp set – You’re My Boo.  I created the envelope shape with the Envelope Edgers Die Set.

31 Nights of Halloween - Night 2

Hello Whimsy Friends and Welcome to the 2nd Night of Halloween! Do you like clowns? I HATE clowns....lol. I think they are totally creepy and not funny at all! This is why I totally LOVE Whimsy's Creepy Clowns clear set. It is exactly how I see clowns...as creepy creatures that give me the jitters....waaaahhh!  LOL!

On my Creepy Clown card I used several Whimsy products all available in the store! I've listed all products below with a direct link to where there are in the store.

I totally love the Peekaboo Window 1 die that was released in September. This die is A2 sized and perfect for peekaboo cards, shaker cards etc. I also used the Web Background from the DoveArt line and the Halloween Creatures Stencil. The sentiments are included with the Creepy Clowclear set. The bats are die cut using a set called Dracula I Compel You die set from last years collection.

Am I early?
Ha! Never!!!!

Dorinda here to share some creepy fun.

The September release has the most amazing Halloween images and I think I've played with them all.

Today, I've used a character from New Halloweeners Clear Stamps Set to showcase Halloween Creatures Stencil

Other Whimsy Stamps products used:

Hand Stitched Nested Rectangle Dies

This set of New Halloweeners Clear Stamps set is so cool. On this card, I've only used one of the many characters available to play with. Plus there are super spooky perfect sentiments and elements.
My background is from Halloween Creatures Stencil. Who doens't want creepy spiders falling from the sky? Bahahaha!!!

I've cut all layers out using Hand Stitched Nested Rectangle Dies.

That's it for me today.
Stay Safe and Crafty
