Christmas Shaker Tags

Hi Whimsy friends, it's Iris here! Today I want to share a set of Christmas Shaker Tags. This was one of my projects from the class I was teaching at the Whimsy Craft Retreat early October.

To create the tags I used the largest of the Stitched Tag dies and the smallest die from the Handstitched Nested RectanglesInstead of foam tape I cut a tag frame from fun foam and adhered it with score tape. I used the  Oh What Fun clear set and matching Oh What Fun dies to create the stamped elements and sentiments. Coloring was done with Copics.
I also glued some sequins from the filling to the tag background. This way if the tags are standing upright they are not all falling down to the bottom of the tag. There will always be some visible through the shaker window.

Here are the Whimsy Products I used:

DIY: Christmas Ornament

Hello creative peeps! It's Ellen here!! In this post I like to share how I made an ornament with my favorite Whimsy Stamps dies: Sketched Elephants & Brush Script Lowercase Alphabet. I would love to show you the tutorial below.

1. Cut two hearts and letters out felt with dies. Of course you can use other shapes (e.g. a star). In my explanation I talk about the heart.

2. Make words with your letters and glue them down on the heart. I use "Glossy Accents" for it.

3. Start to sew the two hearts together. I used white treat, I wish I had red, because I'm not the best at sewing (hihi)...

4. Fold the ribbon in half and sew it securely between the hearts.

5. When you're almost all the way around, stop and fill the heart with wimps. Sew your heart further and tie the string onto the start point from the starting point of the wire.

Here you can see how mine looks:

I think its super fun to make with kids.

Only 3 more days!! Well 2 until Santa does his thing. I'm using just two of the fabulous stamps from Crissy today and using them for shaker tags.

This sweet pair is called 2 Christmas Tales at the North Pole.  I've used my Fuse tool to create the shaker right around the colored image.
No cutting or measuring of paper...just zipping right along with the Fuse tool on a cellophane bag.
This shaker tag is using the Penguins carry the Tree stamp.  Both tags were colored up with Copics.
And here are both of them together.
I hope you enjoyed today's tags, but more importantly, I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year!

Lizzy Love 'Mia so Lonely'

Hello, Cindy here today. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.  My family had a nice day together hanging out at the house while I cooked.

Today I want to share a tag I made using the new Lizzy Love image 'Mia so Lonely'.   The sentiment is from 'Simply Stitched Circles'

I colored her with Copics, did some stenciling with molding paste and some sparkly spray which you can't see in the picture! Love how it turned out.

Time to start getting ready for Christmas and do some shopping.....:)

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a fabulous weekend!!
