For my turn, I have used our clear stamp set Grim Reaper and created a watercolor background using Twinkling H2Os. This is the first card I have made in AGES! It was easy and fun and made me realize I need to get my craft on more.
The image and sentiment were stamped with Versamark Ink on watercolor paper. Then heat embossed with black embossing powder. I cut the paper using our Hand Stitched Nested Rectangles and then made my background.
I wet the paper with a water brush and then randomly added ink in shades of yellow/gold, purple, and blue. Then dabbed off the excess with a dry paper towel. Once it was dry, I used gesso mixed with some water and used a brush to splatter it on. Just add paint to the brush and then tap off the excess and tap against another brush over your background. This technique is similar to that of the galaxy background but I think it works great for Halloween too!
The final touches were mounting to white card stock, adding in some cheesecloth for a spider web effect and then using foam tape to adhere the image layer over the cheesecloth. The card base is a piece of deep purple card stock.
Thanks so much for stopping by tonight. Be sure to pop back tomorrow to see our next 31 Nights of Halloween creation!
