31 Nights of Halloween Night 23

HI, Céline here to share with you my Night of Halloween card

Today I chose Jack o Lantern Joy 

It's a really easy card.

I used a shaped card cuted with Silhouette then I've added a circle pumpkin paper.
Stamp is cuted with a tag die.
I've added some flowers and scary bats ;)

31 Nights of Halloween - Night 22 Special Guest Amy Young

Hello, hello! 
It's Amy from A Thousand Sheets of Paper and I am thrilled to be participating in the 31 Nights of Halloween as a guest designer here at Whimsy Stamps this month. It's hard to believe we are at night 22 already and so much frightfully fun inspiration has already been shared. For my card tonight I have combined stamps from Deb Davis's awesome Attempted Murder set and the sassy Jack o Lantern Joy by Kristen Winkelbauer. I love creating scenes for my character stamps to live in and the Attempted Murder set has so many great images for building perfectly spooky backgrounds that I know it is going to quickly become a go-to set for future cards. I stamped everything in Memento desert sand ink so that I could do the scene using the no-line coloring technique with my Copics. I really like the soft, sort of dreamy quality this lends to the over all design of the card. I imagine Jack o Lantern Joy is all dressed up and heading to a big Halloween party right at that witchy twilight hour. I would not be tempted to go explore that abandoned farm house along the way but she looks to be a lot braver than I ever would be! ;)

31 Nights of Halloween - Night 21 & Giveaway

Welcome to Day 21 of the Whimsy Halloween Celebrations!

Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend so far! It's Iris here today and I want to share a card with you where I used one of Whimsy's older Halloween Stamps. It's a Wee Stamp illustrated by Sylvia Zet and called Batty Boo. This is one of my favorite Halloween images of all times. I think it is stinkin' cute! Who can resist these little bats with their smooshy faces?

We are giving away lots of goodies during our Halloween celebration month here at Whimsy.  Denise is so generous and my giveaway for you today is this beautiful Batty Boo stamp (1 Stamp will be given away)! I colored the image with Copics and pencils using the no-lines technique. The background was created using a Tim Holtz Stencil (I think it's called 'Crackle') and Distress Ink  Tumbled Glass. The sentiment is from the 'Dracula I Compel You' clear set and stamped with Versafine black ink onto vellum paper.
I also clear embossed the sentiment to keep it from smearing.
I stamped  some of the bats included with the 'Dracula I Compel You' set onto the background panel. To give it even more dimension I as well die cut some bats from black cardstock with the matching Dracula I Compel You Die set.  The vellum paper strip was then layered on to the background panel. I fuzzy cut the image and added it with some foam tape on top of the vellum strip. To embellish and add some 'Bling' to my card I used  sequins and orange enamel dots from the Summer Breeze enamel dots set.

31 Nights Of Hallowe'en - Night 20 with Crissy Armstrong

Hi Whimsy fans! Crissy here on Day 20 of the "31 Nights of Hallowe'en"!! 

I have a fun little game to play and it could mean free Whimsy product for you!

My favourite candy was the Sweet Tarts! Omygosh, mouth is currently watering, even as I type it out, LOL!!!

My favourite scary movie has to be Jurassic Park! I have a memory of hiding behind the couch when the kitchen scene came on - me and my daughter immediately hid behind the couch and only peeked at the screen when we felt we were able to handle it, LOL! Yes, I did that, as a grown woman!! ROFL

Anyway, onto my card...

I used my rubber image, "Kitties On Halloween"

I coloured it using multi-media.  I started with Copics, and then used some distress inks and some coloured pencil. I did some sponging on the sky to get the glow around the moon.  I used the distress inks like watercolours, and used a thin water colour brush to do the grass strands. 

The paper is by the wonderful Tracy Wray of Whimsy. It is digital paper from her "Haunted Halloween" pack 1

I am IN LOVE with Tracy's papers, and I just feel so empowered that I can download and print out what ever sheets I want, and as many times as I want when I get one of her packs of digital paper!  It is a dream to be able to do this at home with my own printer! Saves loads of space too!

Layering is a breeze also, because I can layer it in my word program! No more need to carefully cut layers!! Can you tell I love this stuff??? ;-)
