~ Wishing You a Sweet Season ~

Hello Whimsy Stamp Fans!

Nicolette here sharing with you another card I made using Whimsy Stamp's Candy Cane Lane Clear Stamp Set.  You can see my other card HERE.  I can't get enough of this darling set!

Today's creation is a shaker card using Whimsy's new Wonky Window 3 Die.  Whimsy has the greatest dies to create fun shaker cards with!  The new die reminded me of a present when horizontal so I used pattern paper for wrapping paper and added the tall Christmas suckers along with the darling little bow that comes in the Candy Cane Lane Clear Stamp Set as wrapping embellishments.

My grandson and I love to make a gingerbread house every year, so I couldn't resist adding this cutie in one of the windows along with Diamond Dust as snow.

I added multi ultra-fine glitter to all the gumdrops for sugar before adding to my shaker windows.  I think they look delicious!

~ 31 Nights of Halloween - Day 3 ~

Mwhahahahaha!...Nicolette here...Welcome to Day 3 of Whimsy Stamp's Annual 31 Nights of Halloween Blog Celebration!

Make sure you read my whole post to find out how you can have a chance to win an amazing prize package!

I am using the new Zombie Boy Clear Stamp Set and Zombie Frame for my halloween inspiration.  Zombies are a huge hit in my household, especially since I have an eight year old grandson.  This particular zombie and sentiment spoke to me as I am always misplacing something, especially dies, they seem to go MIA during my creative process.

I used Whimsy's Wavy Nested Frames Die Set to create a black hole of nothingness to represent the emptiness of his brain.  He may be dumb, but he sure is cute, in a zombie kinda way...LOL

~ Always Remember Shaker Flag Card Tutorial ~

Hello Whimsy Fans!

Today I am sharing with you a tutorial on how I made this flag shaker card honoring our military.  It is so important to remember where our freedom comes from and the sacrifices not only they but their families have given for us to be free.  I, myself, have experienced and seen the sacrifices having had a father serving in the Air Force and being a child during the Vietnam War.  We also need to remember that many sacrifices are suffered years after serving not only in their health but in their memories.  May we never take for granted the freedom we have at the sacrifice of others!

~ Step by Step Tutorial ~

Step 1.  Cut white cardstock at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4" to create a card base.

Step 2.  Die cut a piece of white linen cardstock using the largest Hand Stitched Nested Rectangles Die.  Adhere to card base.

Step 3.  Cut a piece of blue cardstock at 5" x 3 3/4".

Step 4.  Cut a piece of white cardstock at 4 3/4" x 3 5/8".

Step 5.  Cut (4) pieces of red cardstock strips and (3) pieces of white linen cardstock  strips at 5 1/8" x 1/2".

Step 6.  Using the straight stitched border die from the Stitched Border Die Trio Set, add stitching to the red and white strips of cardstock.  This die doesn't cut, it only adds stitching.

Step 7.  Adhere strips to white cardstock in Step 4.  Trim edges of strips to fit white cardstock.  Adhere to blue cardstock from Step 3.  Adhere to card using foam tape.

Step 8.  Die cut (2) large dog tags from the Military Die Set out of blue cardstock.

Step 9.  Die cut a medium sized dog tag out of (1) large dog tag.  This will create the shaker opening.

Step 10.  Turn dog tag over and adhere a 1 1/4" x 2" piece of acetate.

Step 11.  Adhere foam tape on top of acetate.

Step 12.  Add shaker bits.  I added tiny stars.

Step 13.  Adhere remaining large dog tag die cut to create shaker.

Step 14.  Add a star die cut from white linen cardstock using the star die from the Military Die Set.  Add chain, if desired.  Adhere to card using foam tape...this will allow room for the chain.

Step 15.  Die cut the military service personnel from the Military Die Set out of black cardstock.  Adhere to card using foam tape.

Step 16.  Stamp sentiment.  I used "Always Remember" from the Military Heroes Clear Stamp Set.  Trim 1/8" away from sentiment.  Adhere to blue piece of cardstock.  Adhere to card using foam tape.

~ Whimsy Stamps - Spring is in the Air ~

Hoppy Hump Day Everyone!

I have created a super fun spring shaker card using Whimsy Stamp's new Bunny Spring Squares Cling Stamp along with their new Peekaboo Windows 4 Die.  This stamp is just not for Easter.  It is the sweetest stamp to celebrate that spring has sprung! I decided to turn this card into a shaker card using the tiny circle cut outs as the shaker windows using fun spring colored baking sprinkles as the shaker bits.  I just adore the tiny carrot die from the Build-a-Basket Die Set and thought they would make the perfect little border for this spring card.  You know bunnies love their carrots!  To make the flower border, I used the large flower die that also comes in the Build-a-Basket Die Set.  The dies that come in this set are a must have!

The Bunny Spring Squares fit perfectly inside the openings of the Peekaboo Windows 4 Die. I love how the stitching around the  squares still shows inside the die cut window.  I think it gives it that extra special touch!

~ Jingle all the Wave ~

Jingle wave, jingle wave, jingle all the wave....sounds like a good place to spend Christmas to me!  There's nothing like feeling the ocean breeze on your face and seeing nothing but ocean for miles to ponder, pray, dream, refresh and renew your heart and soul!!!

I love making cards with lots of dimension.  You can see the Rudolph Seahorse is on top of a Mini Action Wobble Spring (see pic below) so when you shake the card he wobbles, too.....so cute and fun!!!
