CAS Winter Pines Christmas Card

Welcome, Whimsy friends. Alanna here today with a CAS Christmas card to share.

I started by stamping the beautiful Winter Pines stamp onto a piece of white card stock.  The detail in this image makes it so easy to color. All I did was add a bit of Green Copic marker to the trees and then add some shading to the bottom and color the tree branch.

I added a bit of light blue Copic marker around the image to mimic the look of sky. I then die cut my stamped and colored panel with the largest die from the new Rounded Rectangle die collection.  I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Christmas Ellie-ments set.

I finished off the card by adding some glue pen to a few of the snowy parts of the trees and then adding a bit of fine, loose glitter over top of it.  You can't tell in the photo, but in real life it is so pretty and sparkly.

Here's a closeup of the image and all the details in it.

I hope you've been inspired today. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

Whimsy Stamps and Tombow Collaboration - Day 3, Post 1

All week long Whimsy Stamps and Tombow will be joining forces to bring you some amazing inspiration combining products from these great companies! Be sure to visit both companies’ blogs each day this week to see all of the incredible projects the designers have created AND to enter the giveaways!

Hello Everyone, Iris here today with my creations for the Whimsy Stamps and Tombow collaboration. For my first card I used the adorable Winter Wonderland clear stamp set illustrated by Krista Heij-Barber and the Slimline Marquee die.

I inked the background using Distress Oxide Inks in different blue tones and sprinkled on water and some white acrylic paint for a snow effect. The snowflakes and sentiment in the middle window were stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder.

I used several different media to color my images therefore I stamped the images with a hybrid ink onto white mixed media paper. To color the snowmen I used Tombow Dual Brush Pens, Tombow ABT Pro Alcohol Markers - Orange Tones and Tombow Colored Pencils 1500 Series
I love to use different media when I color images and these markers and pencils from Tombow worked all very well together and it was a joy to color these adorable images from Whimsy Stamps.

Here is a closer look on the images. I used the markers to lay down the base colors and went over it with the pencils to add some more depth and details.

For my second card I used the Rounded Rectangles dies, Forest Majesty dies and the Winter Wonderland clear stamp set again.

The background on this card is blue glitter paper and the window was cut out using the Rounded Rectangles dies

I used the Tombow ABT Pro Alcohol Markers - Orange Tones to color the Snowmans nose, scarf and gloves. For everythign else (including the birch trees in the background) I used the Tombow Colored Pencils 1500 Series.

Peaceful Winter Scene

Hello, Whimsy friends!  It's Andrea here with you sharing a peaceful, winter-scene, Christmas card featuring the new Winter Woods stamp by Dove Art.

To achieve a pseudo no-line look, I stamped that beautiful image with Memento London Fog ink and colored it with Copics.  After adhering my colored image (trimmed to A2 size) to a white card, I created a frame from teal metallic cardstock with the new Rounded Rectangles Dies.

I used a larger die from the Rounded Rectangles set for the white frame, which I adhered with foam tape.  I die-cut one of the Evergreen Trees Dies from white glitter cardstock and attached it to my card, placing foam tape behind the portion of the tree that extends beyond the white frame.

To create my sentiment block, I die-cut tan cardstock with the Card Builder Windows Dies and stamped a sentiment from You're My Jolly.  The "peace" die-cut is from the retired Holiday Word Dies.  After attaching my sentiment banner with dimensional adhesive, I added a couple of clear sequins for a little more sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by!
