Wobbly Bird - Tuesday Tutorial with Sue

Hello everyone!

I'm here today with a tutorial for a really easy to put together interactive card!

Copic Markers - C00, C01, C03, YR24, Y38, Y13, Y11, YR09, YR04, YR12 

With White card create a 14.5cm x 11cm card blank and set it aside.  Create two white card rectangles the same size.  

With the Cloud Edger Die cut a cloud template and use it to blend tumbled glass distress ink clouds over both card rectangles. 

 With the Rectangle Frame die from the Shaker Maker set die cut one of the cloudy backgrounds. 

4.With the cloud edger die cut two pieces of vellum and trim them so that they will fit inside the top and the bottom of cloudy frame.  

Stamp the early bird with black ink and colour with markers.  (You can use pencils or paper piece the bird if you prefer).  Fussy cut the image and fix a Wobble Spring to the back.

With the largest cloud die from the Up In The Clouds Set die cut a piece of vellum and a piece of white card.  With black ink stamp the dare to soar sentiment in the centre of the card cloud.

With Nuvo glue fix the vellum clouds to the top and bottom of the cloudy background, placing them so that they will sit just inside the frame.  Fix the frame to the background with foam tape.  Fix the card design to the card blank set aside earlier.

Attach the die cut clouds and the early bird to the card design as shown and add some Nuvo Crystal Drops to finish.

It's Sue back today to show you another wonderful

Whimsy Stamps

July new release item!

Early Birds Clear Stamps

This card was such good fun make because that cute birdie wobbles!!!

I die cut a piece of card with the frame from the 

Card Builder Windows Die Set

and using a template from the 

Up In The Clouds die set 

I blended 

Tumbled Glass Distress Ink

over the card to create a cloudy background.

I then added some clouds die cut from vellum with the 

Up In The Clouds die set 

and

Grass and Cloud Edger Die Set

I stamped and coloured a cute bird from the 

Early Birds Clear Stamps set 

and fussy cut it close to the outline.

I fixed a 

Mini Action Wobble Spring

to the back of the birdie and fixed him/her to the card design as shown.

I stamped a sentiment from the 

Early Birds Clear Stamps set 

onto a cloud die cut with the

Up In The Clouds die set 

and finished the design by adding some 

Simply White Nuvo Crystal Drops

~ Early Bird Gets the Worm by Nicolette ~

Hello Whimsy Stamp Fans!

Today I am sharing with you a fun card I made using Whimsy's new Early Birds Clear Stamp Set.  It looks like the saying, the early bird gets the worm, is true.  This bird is getting a tweet treat...poor wormies!



Whimsy Stamps has a great selection of dies that you can build scenes with like I have done here.  The Wavy Nested Dies Set reminds me not only of a knot hole you would find in a tree but a mud puddle.  You usually find worms after it rains, so I thought a mud puddle would be the perfect place for this early bird to catch him some breakfast as the sun rises.  Breakfast is the most important meal of the day after all.  To give the mud some texture, I used Copic's Blending Solution and a texture rag to give the mud a more realistic look.
