Today I show you a stamp from the current digital New Release...

This time I made a special size card (3.5x6Inch). I print out the cute image with my regular printer and color it with my Polychromos. This time I use a blending technique.

Snowy

Hi there, it's Janine here

Today I'm sharing some November Whimsy Stamps inspiration with you. So for this month's card I've used a sweet little digi image called 'Snowy' and a beautiful digi paper is from a collection called 'Christmas Roses & Snowflakes'. Both the gorgeous little girl and the paper are part of this month's new release, and is available from the digital section.

First I printed my 6" x 6" digital paper directly onto some smooth printer paper and trimmed it to size and attached it to my card front.. The digital image was resized and printed directly onto colouring cardstock, then coloured with Copic pens. I added a little sparkle of course...well it is a Christmas card. I mounted the finished image onto some dark blue card and added it to the card front. To finish my card I added a die cut snowflake and snowman.

Give Thanks

Hello friends!  It's Vicki here!  Autumn has officially started and I love thinking about those fun Fall memories that I've had with my kids growing up.  We used to go to a local orchid and pick out the pumpkins that we would carve out for Halloween.  They had such fond memories of the place that they enjoy going back there as adults!  This image really reminded me of those special memories:

This is the very sweet digital image called "A Girl and Her Pumpkin" released for this month by Crissy Armstrong.  I've got her colored in with Copic markers and stenciled some clouds in the background.  I cut her out with the "Hand-Stitched Nested Rectangle dies" and mounted her over some fun Fall glittery leaves and a strip of burlap ribbon.  I've taken the "Painted Sayings clear stamp set" and stamped some of the images with white ink in the background and then I took the words and gold heat embossed them over the vellum and cut it out for a banner in the bottom right portion of my card.  Lastly, I've added some gold sequins and filled the centers with a gold Stickles glitter.

Christmas Mermaid

What for a great New Release this month. This time I use the digital stamp from Crissy, called Christmas Mermaid. 

Do you know Kit and Clowder? There you can learn a lot of techniques for coloring. I learned a much. 

This month theme is underwater world.  I fall in love with this theme. Look at this wonderful scene. Instead of the turtle I try it with the  Christmas Mermaid from Whimsy stamps. I think this will be a perfect combination.

I used the pencil course and my Prismacolor Pencils to made this picture. I will frame it and bring it to my wall in my craft room.

This was my inspiration for this monthly post. Hope you like it :)

Penguin Fishing

Hello - MichelleO here today and I have been having so much fun playing with the Whimsy Digital Stamps! Its been a while since I got a little tech with my crafting. But with these Digital stamps you can do so much!

This is Penguin Fishing by Crissy Armstrong -

Doesn't he just make you smile? Now for the Tech part first - When I went to print my image, I found a image of a sky from a free site, and dropped it into my program first. Then I dropped the penguin down and positioned it over the the photo. This placed my little fisher penguin in the open air! I then colored the image with my Copics. (colors below)

The papers were in my scraps and I just loved the tape measure. My husband always has a measuring tape in his fishing bag. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps Word Dies set and can be found HERE. I love word dies!  Then three enamel dots to finish it off!

Penguin Fishing

Today I'm sharing some July Whimsy Stamps inspiration with you. So for this month's card I've used a beautifully drawn digital stamp called 'Penguin Fishing' by Crissy Armstrong. This fabulous stamp is part of this month's new release and is available from the digital section.

 

 

The digital image was resized and printed directly onto colouring cardstock, then coloured with Copic pens. The sky was created using blue ink and a cloud template.

.

An oval aperture was cut into the centre of a card blank and a piece of blue card, then a die cut scalloped oval frame was glued over the top.

 

The coloured topper was attached to the inside of the card blank using foam pads, then the back of card blank was glued shut. To allow the card to stand upright I attached a card stand on the back.

Baby Days Notebook

Hey there, welcome to a Digital Design Divas inspiration post. I am sharing with you today, a follow up to my previous inspiration post. This is 'part 2' of the gift I gave my sister and her hubby when their baby arrived. The first was of course, the 'new papa' card I shared with you recently and this time, I'd like to share the sweet baby diary I made for my sister, to record all her 'baby days' notes in. If you are a mama, you might recall the 'haze' that accompanies the baby days and how forgetful we become! So this wee diary is a great way to record and remember all those important little details... what the midwife said when she visited, which side you fed from last, that first sweet milky smile. 

This image is a beautiful one called Little Angel Mother from our fabulously talented digital designer Crissy Armstrong. I coloured mum and bub with my copics, which did you know you can buy right here at Whimsy Stamps now?! Love that!! I used a beautiful digital paper designed by Denise Lynn called Vintage Pink. It's so pretty and is another in the same set that I used on my previous post. I stamped a sweet sentiment directly on the pretty paper and edged the paper with distress ink before adding it to the notebook. LOVE these beautiful papers.

I used some pretty hessian wrap, a tag die behind the image and some cheesecloth for softness. A simple seam binding ribbon to finish the tag, some little ditsy flowers and the sweetest lil' rocking horse layered on kraft coloured foam finish this design. That sweet rocking horse is an older Whimsy Stamps die and was just perfect to finish this creation. It's no longer available, but there are so many gorgeous dies in the Shapeology range. Timeless designs, means maximum use from your stash! I LOVE my Whimsy dies. 

Here are the two creations together. They were very well received by my sister and brother in law. He was especially chuffed with 'his' card and my sis' has half filled her journal already! A Father Is Born

Hey there lovely Whimsy Stamps fans. I've been let loose on the blog for the first time today and I have a sweet post to share with you. I am blessed to be one of the Whimsy Stamps Digital Design Divas and let me tell you, there is no shortage of gorgeousness in the Whimsy Stamps Digital Vault. We are spoilt for choice by the talents of the Whimsy Design Team, so there is ALWAYS the right image for the occasion. I have two family members who have had babies recently, my lovely sister and my baby brother. I tell you, it's no big 'thang' to find an image to celebrate these amazing women becoming mummies right? But what about the papas? Look no further, our awesome Whimsy Stamps artist Crissy Armstrong has you covered! To celebrate the birth of a father, let me introduce you to 'Little Angel Father'.

This image just melts me. I have watched first my baby brother take this role recently and then my brother in law and I just LOVE the hearts of these modern men, who embrace their part in this joyous journey, sharing the care and unashamedly doting on their 'girls'. So this creation is in celebration of both these wonderful men in my life and their new roles as 'daddy'.

How perfectly does this image capture the rush of love that comes with becoming a new parent?! That 'will' to protect and nurture, It is captured so perfectly in Crissy's wonderful lines. However you colour this beautiful image, (mine was coloured with copics which you can now buy here at Whimsy Stamps!) the message is simple, it is a celebration of fatherhood, of new life, of dreams yet to be fulfilled and stories still to play out. THE perfect new papa image. I hope you enjoyed my take on this classic image. It's one from the Vault, but as I've come to realise with all my Whimsy goodies, the designs are classic, they don't date and are always a good investment.

Love You To The Moon

Hello Whimsy fans! It is my turn to share some inspiration with you. 

My card features the "Over The Moon Cow" digital stamp and a sentiment from the Vintage Sentiments digital set.

This stamp has so many possibilities! How cute would this be on a new baby card? 

I coloured this adorable cow with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and cut it out using a stitched circle die and added it to a scallop circle. I printed the sentiment and cut it out with a matching stitched oval die. Some fun patterned paper, enamel dots and ribbon finish off my card.
