Special Guest - Sandi MacIver

Let's give Sandi MacIver a warm welcome as she brings us more inspiration.

Hey Crafty Friends welcome back. I have some fun for you today with Whimsy Stamps Caution Dog Slobber.   Whimsy Stamps Caution Dog Slobber
I was excited to be asked to guest design for Whimsy Stamps this month and while searching through their fabulous website, it was quite hard to choose which stamps I wanted to work with because they are all so fabulous.......STOP - WAIT - Drooling dogs - ok, I can relate! haha, I am always covered in drool and dog hair from Oscar and Lucy snuggling with me, so this was perfect. Ok, He isn't a Corgi, but isn't he the sweetest....LOVE his round fat tummy, bit long slobbery tongue and his cold pink nose. As I was snooping further through the site for items to accompany this stamp set, I came upon coordinating dies (of course), some fun Zig Zag Rectangles dies I could use to create a fun border, and HOLD THE PRESSES - Whimsy Stamps Designer Paper - Pet Woof.......this designer paper is PERFECT for dog cards.Whimsy Stamps Caution Dog Slobber
While I love making backgrounds, sometimes I don't have time, or my mojo is busy elsewhere, haha, so designer paper is the perfect alternative and this pack has you covered 6 ways to Friday - no kidding. There are also two of each double sided design so if you are like me, once you design a card, you like to make it a couple of times - you can.

Card #1 Whimsy Stamps Caution Dog Slobber

For the first card, I stamped the image onto Neenah Solar white 80# card and colored the image with my copics. I trimmed it as tight as I could and added a slim mat. Then I cut my designer paper down to 4 x 5-1/4 to fit on my card front before attaching the art piece with foam tape just to pop it up a bit. Clean and Simple and quick, but what a fun card right?

Card #2 Whimsy Stamps Caution Dog Slobber

For the second card I flipped the orientation to landscape and die cut my card front panel. I stamped colored and cut out the adorable little doggy and laid him on the panel in my Misti so I knew where to stamp the sentiment and dog bones. I chose another piece of the designer paper and then used those colors to coordinate my card base and mat. Finally, I popped the doggy up with Foam Tape to add just a bit of Dimension. This stamp set also has a couple of stamps that are perfect for the back of envelopes and I know my dog loving friends are going to adore these cards. A big Thanks to Whimsy Stamps for the design invite. I had fun and hope to do it again soon. Visit their site and pick out your favorite stamps, they truly have something for everyone.
