If you had to choose, what would your top 3 favorite Whimsy products be and why?
My top three favorites are the stamp options – rubber, clear and digital, dies and enamel dots. I love that you can resize the digital stamps to meet your needs and they don’t take up much room for storage. Some of my fav Whimsy stamps are in rubber and nothing beats the clear mini sentiments that are always perfect for any card I am making.
The enamel dots are my go to embellishment……..I’m addicted!!
List 3 things someone would be surprised to learn about you...
When I was 12 I fractured my skull being thrown from a horse and landing backwards on the pavement of a highway. Years later I bought a young horse so I could do the training myself which was an adventure all in itself!
I am a patterned paper hoarder in need of a serious intervention!
I have a dry, cheeky sense of humor that is a surprise a lot of people.
What Whimsy stamp or stamp set could you not live without and why?
I cannot live without the animals – specifically Crissy Armstrong’s horses. They are the most realistic stamps I have seen and they have a fun, whimsical, country style that matches my style perfectly.
What is your favorite color combo and favorite coloring medium?
I love the natural tones of browns, greens, beiges, blues and yellows – country colours as I call them. I use Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and a few Copics that have somehow “added” themselves to my collection
If you had to survive on just 3 foods, what would they be?
Cheesecake, Reeses Peanut Butter Cup Blizzards and Turtles
What do you like most about being a member of the Whimsy Creative Team?
I am a newbie on the digital team so I’m still getting my feet wet! I like the support of my fellow DT – everyone is very quick to jump in and help with a question or send me something I need. I love that I can “do what I do” when it comes to my style of card making. I love the friendships I have made and the support of the company owner Denise, always there with a kind word or encouragement and always here to help in any way possible.
What challenges you when stamping/crafting?
My biggest challenge is time like many others – I wish I had more time to craft…..or “color” as I tell my dog. This always results in “stink eye” from him!
My other HUGE challenge is that I am very quickly out growing my craft room!
Picking one favourite card I have done using a Whimsy stamp is a challenge but I have chosen this one. This is one of my first cards as a digital team member and it is colored to match my heart horse. Hand fussy cutting this was a challenge but the end result was exactly what I pictured in my head.
Wow, thrown from a horse Donna! You're amazing after that awful injury to try again. They are majestic creatures and Crissy's images are so beautiful I agree. Lovely reading your bio and getting to know you a little better xoxo
