A sad farewell...

It is never easy to say goodbye, but say goodbye we must to some of our wonderful design team members who are moving onto new pastures - Lori, Stephanne, Sylvia and Michele.  I know I speak for everyone at Whimsy when I say that we have loved every minute of you being part of the Whimsy family and that each of you will be sorely missed.  Thank you for all the time, commitment, dedication, talent, and friendship you have all so freely shared.  We all wish you the very best the future has to offer. Lots of luck and best wishes from all of us at Whimsy! Huge hugs to you all!

Kenny K Cards

Hello and Happy Friday to you  Patricia Here and It's my turn to host the Whimsy Stamps blog and share some of my cards with you. These cards were made for Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Magazine Issue 12 Using the images Lady Victoria and Jayne Jettpack available at the Whimsy Stamps Shop. The first one is Lady Victoria Colored with Copic Markers in Peach and Olive green tones.

A few more shots of the details on my card I also used the Die Set Lock and Key, you can see the Key next to my flower arrangement. My second card is with the Image Jayne Jettpack, she was also colored with Copic Markers.
I added the sentiment from the set Magical Mini Letter seals and the Die Star Spangled Tag Die that's peeking from under the flowers.

Introducing our new DT members...


Thank you so very much to each and every one of you who took the time to apply to join the Whimsy Stamps Design Team. We loved reading your applications and visiting your wonderful blogs. We received a huge number of entries and the standard was extremely high, which made choosing the new DT members a very difficult task indeed, but we are thrilled to announce that the following very talented ladies will be joining us for the next DT term starting July 1st! Sweet Sparkle

Hi everybody,

Bev showed you all a gorgeous card with Wee Stamps' new Wee One last Wednesday. Today I'd love to introduce you to another new member of the Wee Stamps family, please meet the gorgeous Sweet Sparkle:
Isn't she just gorgeous? This is actually a notepad and not a card... I have to admit that I was so satisfied with how this project was turning out that at the last moment I decided to turn her into something more permanent then a card.

The sentiment is also available at Whimsy Stamps it's part of the Friendship Notables 2 set by Raindrop Echo Designs, it's one of my favorites :). I cut the sentiment out with the matching die and then attached it to the also matching "Simple" chipboard Frame that I painted with a picket fence paint dabber and then also with a little bit of picket fence crackle paint. I used the crackle paint on the papers as well together with frantage, Stickles and Viva Eiskristall.

A close up of gorgeous Sweet Sparkle, as always colored with Copic Markers and completely 3D paper pieced using the Olba Glue and syringes that are available at Whimsy Stamps. The lantern was a challenge but I love how it turned out :). The Copic Markers used are:
Skin: E11, E00, E000, E0000
Hair: E44, E42, E41, E40, E50, E0000, CB
Brownish color in clothes, wings, butterfly and flowers: E84, E81, W00, CB
Blueish color in clothes, wings, butterfly and flowers: B02, B00, B000, B0000, W3, W1, W00, CB
Body of butterfly: E55, E53
Lantern, center of flowers and charm on necklace: Y28, YR23, YR21, YR20
Flame: YR04, Y13, Y11
Shine of light: Y13, Y11, Y0000
Candle: E40, W00, CB
Golden liquid pearls, Stickles Diamond and Stardust and a white gelpen
And the little pieces that were used to create Sweet Sparkle.
