Mix Media with Deb

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today we are sharing a unique mixed media project created by Whimsy artist Deb Davis using her Irreplaceable Friend and Furever in Our Hearts clear stamp sets. These sets, along with our other Rainbow Bridge Collection products, are the perfect sets for creating projects for pet lovers or someone who as lost a furry loved one.

Deb has used card stock and then stamped on paw prints from the Furever in Our Heart set and then used chalk paint to give that distressed look. The sentiments are stamped and then cut from the Irreplaceable Friend set as well as the Border Collie image. Deb used an old book page to stamp some of the sentiments, which is such a fun idea and a great use of an otherwise neglected old book. The sentiments are glued down, making this a relatively flat mixed media project. She also finished off with some extra distressed inks around the edges.

Happy Stamping and mixed media creating!

Product Spotlight - Doggie Skywriter Valentine

Hello Friends,
Today we are sharing a super cute card created by Special Guest Francine using our Doggie Skywriter Valentine rubber stamp. I love the bright cheerful colors Francine used on this one and how she cut out and popped up the image to give the card dimension.

Be sure to visit Francine to see more of her gorgeous work.

Happy stamping!

Birthday Wishes

Hello, hope you’re all enjoying the summer.  For a change good old England has been basking in a heat wave so not much crafting has been getting done!

I’m sharing a shabby card for this month’s DT post my shabby cards with this one today, not my usual colour combo but I absolutely love it.  I stamped around the edges of the layer with the In Stitches set.  I made a bit of a whoopsie when heat embossing the stenciled bird cage, I didn’t realise the stitching stamp ink hadn’t dried so it caught some of the white embossing powder.  I LOVE it!  That sure was a happy accident Smile  I finished off with a sentiment from the Lovely Lavender stamp set.

I made the flowers from Foamiran using my Peony Flower Die set as well as a  few other dies from my stash for the little flowers and a set of daisies.  I really do love making my own flowers, they’re so very easy to make and don’t take long either.
