Share Your Space Sunday

Hi! my name is sue and I am part of the wonderful Whimsy Stamps designing team. We thought it would be fun to share with you what inspires and provides a special place for us to create all our whimsy creations! Therefore, the Design Team is going to be taking turns sharing with you our "creative areas". In addition, we would love to see our Whimsy fans' spaces too! would you care to share yours? where your "Mojo Magic" happens to create the beautiful things you do? IF so, then please share your link with us in the comments section on the This Sunday post so we can all find your blog and take a peek! Now, to give you a little background...we had just moved into a new rental home in March/2010....so things were a little discombobulated for a bit. However, the room was able to be put back together in a few days. Here are some before pictures:

....and here are the After pics:

Now, what I have found in my experience with creating my own space? don't organize the room to just "look good" know what I mean? Organize it in a way that works best for YOU. In my room, I did it totally for convenience. I wasn't going for aesthetics. Everything I have is put in place to grab, use and put back quickly. I LOVE THAT. That's my favorite part about it. I would say to create the room for you to enjoy. Since your the one that will be working in there the majority of the time. I've enjoyed sharing these pics with you and would love to see some more craft spaces. Please DO NOT feel pressured to share. It's just fun to visit each other's places. :) It doesn't have to be fancy! remember! it's what works!!

Truly Scrumptious Maya...

Woo-hoo - it's Friday! Yeahhhhhh!  Almost the beginning of the weekend (...and it's going to be a 3-day one if you live in the UK, yay!!).

Today I have a brand new card to share with you using the beautiful Maya Blowing Bubbles digi stamp - one of the wonderful new digis that Crissy Armstrong has designed for Whimsy Stamps.

I followed the fab sketch over at Truly Scrumptious, as it allowed me to use one of Ann's matching digi Maya Blowing Bubbles Sentiments stamps on the pull-out 'hidden' tag:

I've coloured Maya using Copic Ciaos, and used some co-ordinating paper from my Basic Grey 6x6 'Nook & Pantry' paper pad.

Thanks for popping by today!  Wishing you all a FABULOUS weekend!

Hugs,

A card fit for a Princess!

Good Morning, Deb here bringing you a little Whimsy Goodness this morning!
Here is a card I made a few months ago using Princess Emma and the Princess Coach. These two images pair up perfectly!  You can now get the Princess Coach in digital form too from here

Baby Boy or Baby girl!

Hi Everyone!!!
It's Erin and welcome to the Whimsy blog!!!  I have 2 cards to share with you today.  Two of my friends recently became moms for the first time!!!  And I couldn't be happier for them!  One had a little girl and the other had a little boy.  I decided to make both cards at the same time using the same image, just different colors.  I did a card for little baby Sarah first.  I used soft pink and chocolate.  Proud momma is colored in with copics, then cut out and popped up on dimensionals.  I also added some stitching to soften the edges.
Next is the card I created for baby Keegan.  I kept the chocolate ribbon the same but changed everything else.  I stitched and distressed the edges on this one.  Both sentiments are from Whimsy as well.
Thanks for sharing a bit of your day with us here at Whimsy, see you next time.
Erin:)
