Hello friends, Martha Lucia here with two stamped cards with special details created with Whimsy Stamps. For me it has been an honor to play with these fabulous stamps. Today, I am featuring the Lilac and Butterfly Rubber Stamp and the Butterflies clear stamp set.
Flowers are my favorite stamps to work with, and this fabulous Lilac and Butterfly was very easy. I just stamped it onto white smooth cardstock and then enjoyed coloring with Illustrator Markers from Spectrum Noir. I fussy cut the image with scissors and set it aside for a while.
Using another piece of white cardstock, I masked the four borders and inked the free area with Distress Ink. Then, I splattered the entire layer with gold ink and stamped one of the sentiments included on the Butterflies Stamp Set. In addition, I pasted the inked layer directly over the card base and added the Lilac and Butterfly Image with crafty foam tape. As a final touch, I added some tiny red dots.
My second project was really easy and fun to make. To create the background, I used white cardstock and the Speckled Heart Stencil with glitter paste Pink Punch. It added a fabulous sparkle to the entire piece.
I pasted the stenciled layer directly over a basic black card base. Then, onto a separate piece of white cardstock, I stamped one of the beautiful butterflies from the Butterflies Stamp Set and colored it with Tri-Blend Markers from Spectrum Noir.
As a final touch, I fussy cut the butterfly with scissors and complemented with a sentiment stamped over green card stock.
It has been a pleasure to share with you this month, and I hope you enjoyed my projects!
