Hello Whimsy Fans I have a tutorial for all
you fine folk to follow today, it's to make a Gift Bag.
I found the tutorial on Pinterest, but for those of you who do
not use Pinterest here goes.
You can use an A4 sheet of card or 12x12
its entirely up to you. Measurements for A4 Card
Card Length 11'card width 8 1/4 '
Portrait Score Lines are at 1 7/8' of an inch and 6 3/8' of an inch.
Landscape Score Lines 3/4 of an inch, 4 1/2 inches, 6 1/2 inches and 10 1/4 of an inch.
whilst you have your card on the landscape you will need to score a diagonal line
from the 4 1/2 and 6 1/2 line of 1 7/8 inches on both sides of your card as
shown above, if you have scored and folded correctly you should end up with the picture below. You can now glue from the top to the diagonal score lines.
I would then pierce the holes for your handles and decorate the outside of the bag.
before popping the box into it's upright position and gluing, the sides will not stay up otherwise.
To decorate the outside of my bag I have used the absolutely adorable
Christmas Bunny Stocking by Artist and Illustrator Crissy Armstrong
and Whimsy Stamps Shapeology Die Merry, I coloured the image with copics.
Have a lovely day Whimsy peeps, don't forget that the challenge will be going live
shortly, so why not have a go at making the bag for the Whimsy Challenge
Take care have fun..... Happy Crafting..
