Tiger play time

Just a quick little post from me (Jodi) to show off the adorable stamp from Crissy Armstrong called Playful Tiger.  He looks like he is about ready to pounce and is such a cute image!  I used some playful papers from my stash (My Minds Eye), added some straw mesh and a great sentiment stamp/die set called Mini Postage Stamp Die and Every Day Mini Postage.  Hope you can enjoy some crafting time today!

Clearly Whimsy Stamps April release - RELEASE DAY HOP!

 Clearly Whimsy Stamps release BLOG HOP!

Our DT and GDT have been sharing some amazing creations made with these new stamps and dies over the last couple of days, and today we are celebrating their release with a GRAND BLOG HOP!

Today we are excited to share the final set of stamps and die from this release.

The new FAMILY WORDS line of products consists of a 4x6" stamp set and a 3x4" companion stamp set. We have tried to include as many variations of family names as possible, and you will see that some of the stamps combine to make even more combinations.  So whether you call you mother "mom, mum, mam, ma, mommy, mummy, mammy" or simply "mother" you will find all these stamps in this set ... and that's just for one family member! :)

   

The die that we have designed to coodinate with these stamp sets is the WONDERFUL word die.  This die is approximately 2.5" wide and 0.7" high. You will find that the "to my" and "to our" stamps from the Family Words 4x6" stamp set nestle perfectly between the "W" and the "d" of the word die cut.

Kathy here, with a card using the Miyako and Kate stamp by Sandy Allnock.

 He is a very cute cat isn't he! 

This sentiment and others are included with the image. I just love this "Huggles" sentiment :)

I also used a new Whimsy die called  Garden Flowers.  It is a lovely set with various flowers but I decided to use this one. I actually cut it out twice, once with blue and once with green and cut the flowers off to attach to the stems.  But this flower also has a little hole in the middle and I punched a tiny circle from pink paper and attached it behind the flower too.  It gives the flower a nice depth.

I also used one of the Whimsy corner dies.

Clearly Whimsy Stamps April release - Day 2

Hi everyone and welcome to DAY 2 of the ...

This week we are releasing 9 new clear stamp sets and 8 coordinating die/die sets, and they will be available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store and all good Whimsy Stamps retailers tomorrow (23 April).

Today we are excited to introduce ....

HAPPY TRAVELS and LIFE IS A JOURNEY are both 4x6" stamp sets jam-packed with travel themed stamps and sentiments.  Perfect for cardmaking and also for recording all your travel-related memories:

     

We have 3 die sets to coordinate with these fantastic travel-themed stamp sets. All dies, with the exception of the camera film roll, cut out the coordinating stamps from the stamp sets. The small circle die in the CANDID CAMERA die set fits the central circle of the camera stamp perfectly, so you could stamp this part in a different colour and cut it out separately and pop it up with foam pads, or cut a circle out of the main stamped camera image.  The small circle die in the ROAD TRIP die set is perfect for cutting out wheels for the car die, so you can use this die without the coordinating stamp if you so wish! The 2 dies in the LEAVING ON A JET PLANE die set not only cut out the coordinating stamps, but work equally as well without the stamped images:

   

IN THE GARDEN conssts of a 4x6" main stamp set and a 3x4" companion stamp set.  Both stamp sets work independently of one another, but we hope you will love them enough to need them both! Again, they are jam-packed with as many stamps as we could fit into each set:

  

We also have 2 die sets for the IN THE GARDEN range - Watering Can and Fence & Grass.  These dies do not cut out stamps, but instead are shapes in their own right. When designing dies we always try to think of the crafter's needs and pocket book, and we thought that these shapes would be more versatile as independent dies with well-defined shapes rather than outlines of stamps which could only be used with the coordinating stamps:

Over the next 3 days we will reveal the new April 2014 Clearly Whimsy Stamps products. We are releasing 9 new clear stamp sets and 8 coordinating die/die sets this week, and they will be available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store and all good Whimsy Stamps retailers from Wednesday (23 April).

This month we are thrilled to welcome Pop’s Morfitt as our Guest Designer. Pop’s will be joining us for the entire 3 day release event and sharing her wonderful creations featuring our April release. Welcome Pop’s!

So today we are delighted to introduce ...

The new COFFEE BREAK line of products consists of a 4x6 stamp set, a 3x4 companion stamp set, and a fantastic coordinating die set. The two stamp sets have been designed so that they work together AND independently of one other, so you don’t need to buy both (although we hope you will love them so much that you’ll want both!).

   

The COFFEE BREAK die set coordinates with the 4x6 stamp set, but also works on its own.  The main take-out cup die will cut out the take-out cup stamp from the 4x6 stamp set, but you could also use the dies to cut out a take-out cup from cardstock alone and create a dimensional take-out coffee cup complete with the lid and sleeve!  The heart and cup dies also coordinate with the heart and small cup stamps from the 4x6 stamp set.  The star die is a little extra for you! :)

The HAPPY HELLO 4x6 stamp set includes some great generic shapes, from 2 different size strips of chevrons to stars and circles, as well as some great sentiments in different fonts. The coordinating HELLO large word die is versatile enough for any papercrafting project, and is also the perfect size for Project Life 3x4” cards, being approximately 2.75” wide.

In Winter

Hi Everyone! It's Shannah here today to share some Whimsy Inspiration with you!

Here is a card I made using one of Cathy Delanssay's new stamps called "In Winter". I'm loving this sweet whimsical range of images!
I've also used the new "Spring Notables 8" and "Notables 8 Die" by Raindrop Echo Designs, and an older Whimsy Shapeology Die, "Tall Timber Die". (The "Tall Timber Die" is now a Retiring Product so grab it quick while its still available - and at a clearance price!)

The rich red background paper is from Kaisercraft "Key to My Heart" 6x6 paper pad, and I coloured the image with Copics, aiming for  'Autumnal' colours. I sponged around the edge with Distress Ink 'Antique Linen', and then framed with a Nestabilities Fleur de Lis Rectangle. 

I added the sentiment and trees (with a touch of stickles), and then finished with Fun Flock for her hood and a few pearls. You can see all the details including Copic colours on my blog Embellished ExpresShan's.

Easter Mary

Hey Lovelies its Jen here with a little inspiration to share with you. As soon as I saw this little cutie I had to coloure her up! I have coloured up one of the new Wee Cuties - Mary.

This is Wee Stamps - Mary. Isn't that lamb just adorable. I coloured them up with Distress Inks, and a lot of glitter to Mary's frills.

Fairy on a tree

It’s my turn to post today, and I have used a stamp from the latest release, Fairy on a Tree.

I used the fab Seed Packet Die (also from Whimsy) and it fitted the tag in the paper pack perfectly.  I cut out flowers from one of the sheets of paper to decorate the front of the packet.  The other Whimsy die used is the delish Lace Doily Border Die 

I’ve used the delish Purple Cottage Charms papers also from Whimsy, so pretty!  Even the tag and butterflies are from the pack.
