Holiday Inspiration

Good Morning All!

So what do you think of the new Whimsy release? Pretty fun hop? I know the DT and I really enjoyed sharing our projects with everyone. And if you've not had time to hop yet, you have until Thursday, Oct 7th to join in. There are prizes along the way and a grand prize at the end of the hop! I'm sure you will see lots of holiday cheer popping up here on the Inspirations blog tin the weeks to come! I actually have a couple cards to share today, but before I get to that, I do have some news I wanted to share too. 

We would like to give a big Whimsy Welcome to 2 new Digital Designers here at Whimsy! We are lucky enough to have both Dominique Steigner and Sandra Cherrington joining our team! Thank you both, Domi and San, so much for coming on board! We look forward to working with you and getting to see all your Whimsy creations! 

Now for my cards. Both of these use the new stamp Starry Night illustrated by Crissy Armstrong. I adore this image! I've use this image both in color and without color. First up is my vintage version....

I created the background with the Classified Ads BG stamp designed by Raindrop Echo Designs and have chosen not to color the Starry Night image. I've distressed the paper edges and added on some sponging and glimmer mist. Then embellished with flowers, ribbon, and eyelets.

Next is my color version on an easel card...

I colored my polar bear to see if fur, it turned out a little grayer than my plan, but I like it still. I've added some glitter for the snow. I've embellished with ribbon, flowers, brads and sticky gems. The sentiment is from the Jingle Bell Ride set by Crissy Armstrong.

Whimsy Holiday Release Blog Hop

Whimsy News Highlights

Good Morning All!

Happy Friday and Happy October! Boy, where did September go? It's been super busy at Whimsy as we prepare for all the fun activities coming up. I wanted to post today to share some of the highlights and what you can expect to see beginning today and over the next 2 weeks. 

Yesterday our DT kicked off three days of sneak peeks leading up to our Holiday Rubber Stamp Release on Sunday, October 3rd. Our team will host a blog hop beginning at Noon EST and customers will be able to purchase these new stamps at that time. There will be 9 new stamps in all, some individual images and some sets. These were designed by both Crissy Armstrong and Raindrop Echo Designs.

Next on the list of fun and exciting happenings is a brand new RUBBER collection by Melissa Jenkins of Meljen's Designs! That's right I said rubber! All you Meljen's Designs lovers will now be able to purchase an exclusive collection of designs only available in rubber! 

We are releasing 5 new designs next Friday, October 8th as a pre-order. If you look close we even gave you a sneak peek at one of them! Our team will host a blog hop to share these sweet new images with you! Be sure to join us for some fun, eye candy, and a chance to win this new set of stamps!

And lastly, on Friday, October 15th our Digital Designers will host a blog hop to share with you all the wonderful new digital stamps released for the Halloween and Fall season. Some of these designs are available now and they include 4 new digis from Crissy's Digi's, lots of new Meljen's Designs, and some spooky new Halloween sentiments from Raindrop Echo Designs. Stay tuned in the next week for a few more additions too!
