Welcome to Whimsy Stamps February rubber stamp and die RELEASE DAY!

Whimsy Stamps is releasing 19 fantastic new rubber stamps and 5 wonderful new Shapeology dies today together with 2 brand new Shape EZ templates! These new goodies are available to buy right now from the Whimsy Stamps store along with all your Whimsy favourites. (NB All of Raindrop Echo Designs February stamps and 2 of this month's Shapeology dies were released last week as part of the 3 Companies blog hop).

From today until 28 February the Whimsy DT and Special Guests will be showcasing these fabulous new stamps and dies with a daily mini blog hop. Cool Kid - On This Date ...

Hello Whimsy Fans, Iris here! Today I like to show you a birthday card using Cool Kid from the Kenny K collection.  This card was also published in the January Mini Issue of the Whimsy Inspirational Magazine.

I colored this cute guy with my Copic's and the sentiment is from Raindrop Echo Designs 'Everyday Circle Postmarks' . The DP is from Simple Stories called Happy Days. The picking circles are Spellbinders Nestabilitie's and everything else is from my stash.

Happiness is in the Little Things

Hi Everyone! Niki here. Are you ready for the new release? So many cute new images! Before inking up some of the new stamps, I had to ink up another one of the images from the last release that I hadn’t had a chance to play with yet.

I used the beautiful Bird Swing image from Sylvia Zet’s Wee Stamps line. Sylvia has such a way with illustrating. Her images are just beautiful. I stamped the image on copic x-press it cardstock with tuxedo black memento ink and colored it with copic markers. I used these marker colors: YG61, YG63, YG67, E31, E33, E35, B12, B14, B16, B32, B34, B37, YR20, YR23, YR24, YR30, YR31, R24, R27, R46, E19, colorless blender. I used some patterned paper from the October Afternoon 5 & Dime paper pad.

I sponged some antique linen distress ink around my image while it was in the oval nestability die. I also sponged some antique linen and around the edges of my patterned papers, sentiment, and cream card base. I used a sentiment from the Magical Mini Letter Seals stamp set. I added some stitching and crocheted lace. I colored some pearls with a red copic marker to match my red accents. Then, I finished my card off with some paper roses.

Hello Whimsy Friends!

Hope you are all enjoying February - can you believe the first month of 2012 is over already! Gosh time sure does fly by! Today I wanted to share a little sneak peek with you! You may have heard that the talent Elisabeth Bell is joining our team of artists and her debut collection will release in early March! We thought it would be fun to share a glimpse at her new collection logo which also happens to have a sneak peek at one of the new debut images!! Fun right!

The new Elisabeth Bell Designs collection for Whimsy Stamps is called "Little Cottage Cuties" and when you see these adorably sweet little girls you are sure to fall in love! Here is a sneak peek at the darling "Apple Blossom"!!

Valerie's Spring Rain

Hi Whimsy Fans and thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you are enjoying your day and will find some time to create something too!

It's my turn (Ellie) to post to the Whimsy Inspirations blog today, and I decided to show you a recent card I made using a little older Whimsy Stamp from the Crissy Armstrong Collection.



The adorable stamp is called "Valerie's Spring Rain".

It has been colored using derwent coloursoft pencils and baby oil. It's another one of my simpler creations, which I really enjoy creating at the moment.

I embellished with some flourishes from Whimsy's Vines Shapeology die, added a button with some twine, a layered prima flower and of course the beautiful ticket sentiment from Whimsy's Everyday Postage Stamp Sentiments, which was cut out using Whimsy's mini postage die.
