B is for Boy

I had sooo much fun making this multi layered card (I kinda got carried away and lost count of the layers haha).  When I saw the new Build a Farm Die Set, I instantly saw BABY BOY so went with that.  There's no stamping or colouring on this card, just die cutting and layering up pretty papers.

Because the card is square I wanted to shorten the length of the gorgeous new Checker Board Background Die a bit to fit in with the design I had in mind, so I disguised the cut with a piece of ribbon.  Love how adaptable this die is and it shows off the card beautifully

I die cut the tractor and adhered pieces of white card behind the windows to give it a more dimensional look.  I also cut out the cut little duckies, gave the feet and bills a spot of orange and popped them in the trailer so they could hitch a ride!  I added some enamel dots to the wheels and some clouds from the die set to finish it off.

I'm thrilled to bits with how this card turned out, it's my most favouritest (is that even a word?) baby card I've ever made.

31 Nights of Halloween - Night 13

Ohhhh, it's Friday the 13th in the month of October and we are celebrating with 31 Nights of Halloween.  Besides the 31st, I think Friday the 13th couldn't be anymore SPOOKY!  This is Melissa and in honor of Friday the 13th, I hope you enjoy this SPOOKY creation!

I used the ADORABLE Owl-oween by Krista Heir-Barber.  This is a high quality edged red rubber stamp.  I colored him in my Copic markers.

Please, how cute is he!?  Because the moon was behind him, I added a bit of highlight on the edges of the image.  I also added some sparkle and white pen for stars and sparkle.  I loved coloring the sentiment too.  I used my toner gray Copics but then again highlighted in a bit of white pen to make the sentiment, that comes with this stamp, pop.

I topped off my SPOOKY creation with some letter stickers and my favorite enamel dots called Summer Breeze and It's a Party.

Don't forget to join us for the rest of the month for lots of inspiration and great prizes!!!  Tomorrow, the talented Faye will be surprising you with a gorgeous creation.

Sketched Elephants

Hello Whimsy Friends, happy Tuesday!
So did you fine peeps like the last release, they were all just too cute,
must have's very last one of them. I have something old and
something new to share with today.

For my DT inspiration today I have used Sketched Elephants

form the Clearly Whimsy Stamps collection the artist and illustrator is
Nina-Marie Trapani, I have had these little beauties in my collection for a
good long while so I thought it was time to ink them.

I used the co-ordinationg Elephant dies to raise the dear little
Elephant out of the frame. The papers are from the new
release and they are called Fresh Rose they seemed to set of
the image and the Honeycomb Pattern die perfectly, and for the finishing touch
I used Summer Breeze enamel dots.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I do hope that I have inspired
you to have a go at making a card today. Take care good people
and I will see you fine ladies & gents here again next month.
Hugs Bridget :) xx
