Whimsy - Froggie Hoppy Day 2 by Rhea

Ok, seriously, who doesn't love a frog with an attitude!  For sure, I do!  Hey Mr. Froggie, are you asleep with your eyes open or are you in a trance?  Dude, do something, would you?  Yeah, I am digging him a lot!  You can find Froggie Hoppy Day 2 in the digi section at Whimsy Stamps.

Now, there are a couple other items I used from the Whimsy store.  I used Magical Birthday Wishes for the sentimentStar Dangle Stencil for the background of the square,  and Stitched Border Die Trio for the top banner.  Thanks for visiting today!

I would share with you the Copic Colors and the Prisma Pencils I used, but honestly,  I have no idea, because I think I had hot flashes when I was coloring him.  Wow, I just realized I made a masculine birthday card with a feminine sentiment on it....I just choked on my coffee!!!  I will find a man friend and dare him to give it to his wife.  I will keep you posted.

Crazy Cat Lady

Hello Whimsy Fans, it's Iris. Wishing all of you a Happy Thursday! I have a fun shaker card to share with you today.

I had a blast coloring this fun and happy image from the NEW Crazy Cat Lady clear set. I instantly had to think of my niece-in-law (is there such thing?....lol) who loves and adores cats. So I made this card with her in mind.

The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Curious Metallic Cryogen white paper. I love the shimmer this paper has. Even after coloring the shimmer is still there and gives a subtle sparkle to your image.  Years ago this was my favorite paper to use with Copics. I kind of forgot about it and haven't used it in years. While organizing my craft room the other day I came across some left over sheets and remembered how nice it behaved with alcohol markers. Color goes on and blends like butter. I have to use this more often again!

I fuzzy cut the image because I wanted to pop it up on top of this shaker card. The shaker elements were created using the NEW Wavy Edger Die set and the Shaker Maker Rectangle die setThe background was made using blue, teal and pink shimmer sprays on 140 lb heavy weight watercolor paper. The sentiment I used is included in the set as are many more as well as some smaller images. I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Claire Nocturne ink.

Happy Chocolate Day!

Hi Whimsy Friends! Today I have some Valentine inspiration for you. On my card I am showcasing a clear stamp set from the December 2017 release called Crazy For Chocolate, an older large word die 'Happy' and the newly released Polka Dot Stencil.

To make this card I started by cutting my card base 4.25" x 11" from heavy weight bright white Hammermill cardstock. Folding it in half cross-wise. Using the  Polka Dot Stencil and some pink Nuvo Embellishment Mousse I created the dotted background. I colored the bowl of chocolate from the Crazy For Chocolate set using Copic alcohol markers and cut it out using the coordinating Crazy For Chocolate die set. I've added Stickles Sprinkled Sugar to the top of each candy. Once it's dry it really looks like sprinkled sugar crystals. I love that it looks so real! Here see for yourselves:

The "Happy" part of the sentiment was cut out from brown cardstock using the  large word die 'Happy' and the other part was stamped directly on the card base. The chocolate bowl and the word Happy were attached with some foam tape to give some dimension to the card. To add some bling I adhered pink enamel dots from the  It's a Party Enamel Dots set , brown Sequins and pink rhinestones between the polka dots.

Here is another close-up of the polka dots made with Nuvo mousse. It gives such a nice effect on the card. I love using structure paste or embellishment gels/mousse with stencils for adding dimension and special effects.

Copic markers used:

R81 - R83 - R85
E23 - E25 - E27
C00 - C1 - C3 - C4 - C5

Here is a list of Whimsy products I used on my project:

Bonus Bundle Fun

Hello friends, welcome to another blogpost. It's Ellen here. I'm excited to show you two cards with a Whimsy Stamps Bonus Bundles. You can find kits in the shop, these bundles are a group of stamps and dies you can buy for a more affordable price ($ 34,99). Below you see the "Autumn" and "Holiday" bundles that I used for making my cards.

For this card I used most of the time the "Holiday bundle". first I cut out the snowflakes from masking paper and did put them down on my card base. After that I did go over my masks with white ink and took them off the card base. Then I sprinkled white ink on top of de card base and finished of the card with the rest of the dies and stamps from the bundle.

On the second card I made a background by using the stamp set (the leaves and berries) and Hand Stitched Nested Rectangles from the "Autumn" and "Holiday" bundle. Further I cut out velume the Doodled Doily Die and on top of that a circle I did die cut out the wreath and some extra's. The senitmend is made by the stamps of both bundles. Finished off the card with an enamel dot on top of the flower.

In my opinion the items from these bundles are picked out very carefully; a lot of these items belong to my favorites and they go so well together. So I hope you liked my inspiration on them.

Snow Man Tidings - Shadow Box Card

Hello!

I have a little shadow box style card to share with you today using the Snow Man Tidings stamp set.

I stamped and coloured my images before cutting them out with the matching dies and setting aside.

Then I made my pink sky and cloudy background with a stencil and distress ink and glued that to my card base.

I made some snow banks with white cardstock using the borders dies.
I added some glitter to the trees with some Nuvo Glimmer Paste  and then cut several frames from the same deep pink card stock as my base. I glue my elements to the snow banks and the snow banks to some of the frames adding extra frames between to add dimension (if you want to cut less frames or have less weight to the card you can substitute craft foam or foam tape between layers, but I prefer the neatness of using the extra layers of cardstock).

I finished with a frame cut from pink glitter paper and popped the final elements up with foam tape.

I used the following Whimsy products on my card, click on the pictures to take you to the products in store.

Penguin Tag

Hello there! It's Ellen here with another Whimsy Stamps project. Today I show a tag with this cute little pinguin.

It was super easy to make. First I colored the penguin, than I cut out the tag and gave it some color with Distress ink. After that I did die cut a little snow hill and put it all together. The stamp is just perfect for a tag like this.

Enjoy your weekend!
