Whimsy News and Welcome Danni!

Hi Whimsy fans!

We have some very exciting news to share ... we are thrilled to welcome Danni Bindel as the newest member of our rubber DT! Welcome to Whimsy, Danni!


We are all very much looking forward to getting to know Danni and see how she works her magic with our Whimsy products.  Here is a little bit about Danni in her own words together with one of her gorgeous creations:

I am so excited to be joining this amazingly talented team here at Whimsy Stamps! My name is Danni and I'm a mom to Matthew who will be turning 13 in August and Annabelle who will be 10 in September. I've been married to Sam for 15 years, 14 of which he was in the US Army. We have one dog, Freckles and I simply love zoos and animals and have hopes that when I grow up I can work at or volunteer at a zoo.

 We live near Omaha, Nebraska and I recently got a job, after being at home for 13 years, at a grocery store in the salad bar department and Sam just got a job at Burlington Northern Railroad.

I started scrapbooking 16 years ago and swore I'd never stamp and then 9 years ago I was introduced to stamping and as they say, the rest is history. I love to make cards and my favorite part of that process is coloring! I can't wait to share my Whimsy Stamps creations!!

Monthly Rubber & Die NEW RELEASES ...

Not only have we have decided to switch back to monthly rubber & die releases from July onwards, we have also made a few changes to our monthly release schedule. We are now going to hold 3-day new release evenst each month from July onwards - 2 days of sneak peek hops plus a grand blog hop on Day 3.  This will now happen on the first Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of each month, so you can mark your calendars in advance!  We hope the changes to our release schedule will be beneficial to all our fans and customers.

So with those changes in mind, we are excited to tell you that our July Rubber Stamp & Die release sneak peeks start on Monday 7th July!! We invite you all to stop by as we have lots of fantastic DT inspiration to share plus some fabulous prizes for you to win.

Whimsy Stamps at CHA Vegas!


We are beyond excited that Whimsy Stamps is at CHA Vegas!!! If you're lucky enough to be visiting the show, be sure to stop by Booth 1105 in the New Exhibitors section and say hello to Denise and crew! Coming Soon!!! Little Cottage Cuties Sneak Peek!!

Hello Whimsy Friends!

Hope you are all enjoying February - can you believe the first month of 2012 is over already! Gosh time sure does fly by! Today I wanted to share a little sneak peek with you! You may have heard that the talent Elisabeth Bell is joining our team of artists and her debut collection will release in early March! We thought it would be fun to share a glimpse at her new collection logo which also happens to have a sneak peek at one of the new debut images!! Fun right!

The new Elisabeth Bell Designs collection for Whimsy Stamps is called "Little Cottage Cuties" and when you see these adorably sweet little girls you are sure to fall in love! Here is a sneak peek at the darling "Apple Blossom"!!

Happy Exciting News!!!

Hello Whimsy Friends!

How are you all doing? We hope January has been good to you all and that you are recovered from the festivities of the holidays. We wanted to share some fun news with you today - something exciting is happening at Whimsy. The very talented and super sweet Elisabeth Bell has joined our team of artists!

Some of you may know this already, but Elisabeth and Whimsy teamed up back in 2008 when we commissioned Elisabeth to create the image you see in the Whimsy Stamps logo! The logo represents our children and Elisabeth was able to capture perfectly, the exact design we had in our imagination. We had so much fun working with her then and we know the this year is going to be an awesome adventure too! We are very honored to have Elisabeth joining us and we can't wait for you to see her adorable new images!

Stay tuned in the coming weeks for some sneak peeks at the debut release. Elisabeth's debut release will be available in early March!And if you want to check out more of Elisabeth's work, you can visit her site www.elisabethbell.com.

Whimsy Stamps is also holding a Design Team call from now until May 15th. We are looking for some talented crafters to join our Digital Stamp DT and help us showcase our growing digital stamp collections.

Each Digi Team Designer is asked to...
* share one project per week on his/her blog (applicants must have a blog),
* participate in our monthly releases and blog hop,
* become a member of our Yahoo group,
* share your artwork on our Facebook Fan page, Whimsy Blog, and any other online community you belong to,
* promote Whimsy Stamps by using our images, mentioning Whimsy news and promotions, and linking to our shop.

In exchange for DT work and helping to promote our products...
* members will have access to our digital stamps for use in weekly DT projects,

Whimsy News Highlights

Good Morning All!

Happy Friday and Happy October! Boy, where did September go? It's been super busy at Whimsy as we prepare for all the fun activities coming up. I wanted to post today to share some of the highlights and what you can expect to see beginning today and over the next 2 weeks. 

Yesterday our DT kicked off three days of sneak peeks leading up to our Holiday Rubber Stamp Release on Sunday, October 3rd. Our team will host a blog hop beginning at Noon EST and customers will be able to purchase these new stamps at that time. There will be 9 new stamps in all, some individual images and some sets. These were designed by both Crissy Armstrong and Raindrop Echo Designs. 

Here is a sneak peek Designer Deb posted yesterday at Santa's Midnight Snack and Holiday Tickets

Next on the list of fun and exciting happenings is a brand new RUBBER collection by Melissa Jenkins of Meljen's Designs! That's right I said rubber! All you Meljen's Designs lovers will now be able to purchase an exclusive collection of designs only available in rubber! 

We are releasing 5 new designs next Friday, October 8th as a pre-order. If you look close we even gave you a sneak peek at one of them! Our team will host a blog hop to share these sweet new images with you! Be sure to join us for some fun, eye candy, and a chance to win this new set of stamps!

And lastly, on Friday, October 15th our Digital Designers will host a blog hop to share with you all the wonderful new digital stamps released for the Halloween and Fall season. Some of these designs are available now and they include 4 new digis from Crissy's Digi's, lots of new Meljen's Designs, and some spooky new Halloween sentiments from Raindrop Echo Designs. Whimsy Stamps NOW OPEN

Just a quick message to let you all know that Whimsy Stamps online shop is now back open for business!!! We appreciate your patience and support these last few days and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Meljen's Designs Little Layered Flower Collection has now been added to the store and is available to purchase for immediate download.

Whimsy Store Update #2 and New Meljen's Designs

Good Morning,

The Whimsy Stamps Online Store has been offline for the past few days, as we have been upgrading our hosting server to support all of our great customers, and the increased demand we have been experiencing over the past few months.  Please accept our sincerest apology for any inconvenience this has caused you.  We greatly appreciate your patience and support.

Our tech support team has been feverishly working to make the transition, but an issue that occurred with our store during the transition has forced us to do a full restore of our database. The good news is they will be able to get us back online - the bad news is it may take as many as 7 to 10 days to do so.  Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and promise that while we may not be online, we are still working to serve our customers.

All orders placed before the server switch have been shipped and/or are pending shipment. We are waiting on custom orders which should be here on Friday, September 17th.  Those orders will be shipped immediately.  If you have ordered digital stamp products and you did not have access to retrieve those files, please email us at whimsystamps@gmail.com and we will promptly send you the files via email.

Lastly, if anyone would like to place an order while we are offline, you can email us at whimsystamps@gmail.com and we will send you an invoice through PayPal and process your order as soon as possible.  Digital stamp orders can be filled via email and I can ship out rubber stamp products. If you are willing to email orders, we are more than willing to provide you with the best customer service possible to get you what you need.

We do have many exciting events and promotions planned for the coming weeks at Whimsy and we are determined to not let those plans be affected by this…let's just call it… a mess! We will continue to bring our customers new digital and rubber stamps and we will be back better than ever!  Please hang in there with us, check for updates on Facebook and our Whimsy Inspirations Blog.  We will post any new updates as soon as they are available.

Whimsy Stamps Store UPDATE

Morning,

I am sure many of you have noticed that the Whimsy Stamps store is off line. On Sunday we closed the store for what we thought would be 24 hours to perform maintenance on the store and move everything to a new server. We had been having many server issues in recent weeks and were hopeful that moving to a new server would remedy that.

Well, now more than 96 hours later the server switch is done but the store has crashed. I do have someone who helps me with tech support as I am not savvy when it comes to the admin side of running a website. She is working very hard to restore things, but every time she makes a little head way something else goes wrong.  And because I don't know how to help her, I really don't have any information as to when things will be fixed.

At this time I have no idea when the store will be back on line and while I sit here in a puddle of my own tears, I am at a loss for what to do. I am SO sorry to my artists and all of my loyal customers. If I had ever known something like this could/would happen, I would have lived with the old server and suffered through. It was never my intention to be off line for as long as we have and each day makes me sadder and sadder.

I do want everyone who placed orders before the server went down to know that I have those records printed out and your product(s) will be on the way to you shortly. Custom designs will be arriving here tomorrow and shipping out ASAP. If you have purchased a digital image and were not able to retrieve it, just shoot me an email and I will send you your file. Again, I would like to apologize for the delays and confusion and all this inconvenience.

Please do know that I am not giving up! Even if it means starting the store over, I will have it up and running again. We have some amazing things coming in the next few weeks and I can't wait for you to be able to see. I just need sone time to get things going again. And if you hang in there with me, I will have a little surprise for you when we return.

Thank you to all of those who have sent comments and emails of support. Whimsy has the BEST friends and customers. And we will return....just not exactly sure on the time. I will post updates here and on the Whimsy Blog as often as I have new information. Thanks everyone.

Whimsy September Digi Hop

Hi Everyone,
