Hello everyone, Simonne here!
Just hopping by to share 2 of my newest Whimsy Stamps creations with you.
The first is a card using the adorable and *new* Love in a Bucket rubber stamp, illustrated by the uber-talented Crissy Armstrong, and one of the *new* Friendship Ticket Sentiments rubber stamps, designed by the amazing Ann Vento of Raindrop Echo Designs:
And for my second card I used one of the brand new Whimsy Stamps KennyK Collection rubber stamps called All That. I had so much fun colouring her and I also decided to paper-piece her hat. I also made that ruffled ribbon myself using a normal piece of black organza ribbon, some black thread and a needle (all hand-stitched - no sewing machine used as I don't have one, LOL!)
We also have a rather special blog hop happening today - a Circle of Friends hop for one of our dear Whimsy DT sisters.
Our Circle of Friends hop is to show our dear friend Annika Ryan that her Whimsy Family is here for her during this difficult time. Everyone needs a circle of friends, and sometimes, during those hard moments, you need to be placed in the centre of that circle and be given a big group hug. Though we may be miles away, our hearts are with her along with our support.
The hop starts at Crystal's blog and I warmly invite you all to hop along with us to send smiles across the miles to Annika.
Wishing you all a wonderful Saturday!
Hugs,
Ready, Steady, Duck!

Fold the scored paper as shown in the photo below and set aside.
Score the 5" x 2" piece of coordinating cardstock at 1" and fold in half.
Apply adhesive just under the fold on both sides. Fill your cellophane bag with candy and seal closed with adhesive. Adhere the bag to the topper and press firmly.
Apply adhesive to the inside of the treat holder, just under the top flap.
Use the edge punch to cut a decorative edge on the 5" x 1" piece of coordinating cardstock and adhere to the top outside edge of the treat holder as shown below.
Center your ribbon and adhere to the inside edge of the treat holder as shown below.
Center your ribbon and adhere to the inside edge of the treat holder as shown below.
The longer front piece will go under the decorative edge.
Wrap the ribbon around the front and tie into a bow or knot.
The treat holder is now ready for embellishing as you wish!

I embossed a piece of cardstock with a Cuttlebug embossing folder, inked the edges and adhered it to my treat holder. Then, I cut three sizes of hearts using my Spellbinders hearts dies, inked the edges with red and adhered them together. I stamped a sentiment and matted it on the same designer paper.
My image is the Rose Bloom from Meljen's Designs at Whimsy Stamps.
I colored it with copics and cut it out.

Adhere the die cuts to the treat holder. I added pop dots to the back of my image and sentiment and adhered them to the treat holder. A couple of gem corners are the finishing touch!

Tuesday, January 18, 2011
Happy Tuesday all!! Today is my day to share some of the fun images and sentiments at Whimsy!! I just love the variety of both elegant, whimsical, and sassy images available as well as the awesome variety of sentiments to coordinate with them in both rubber and digital!!!
Today I have two very different creations to share with you.
For my first creation , I used the Kenny K Troublemaker image. The sentiment is from Whimsy's RainDrop Echo designs digital sentiments and it is called Fast lane Sentiments. While they coordinate beautifully with the Kenny K images, they are perfect for any creation with a "fun girl" theme.
Doesn't she just look like a trouble maker!!
My second creation uses on of the elegant and beautiful digis illustrated by Crissy Armstrong, Rose Butterfly.
The colors are brighter than I am used to using but I just had to use this brand new paper from My Mind's Eye sent to me by my friend, Crystal. It is gorgeous!!
I colored the image with copics. The scallops are using the scallop die from Spelbinders.
Thanks for stopping by today!! I hope you enjoyed viewing my projects.
Have a great day!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!
Monday, January 17, 2011
Hey everyone!
Just a quick post from me (Simonne) today to share one of my creations using stamps from our most recent rubber release just before Christmas. I can't tell you how much fun I had colouring up these two characters. I think it is AWESOME that Kenny is now working with Whimsy Stamps to produce actual rubber stamps! WOO-HOO!! These two cuties are my most favourite from our latest (and first!) KK for Whimsy Stamps release. The girl on the left is called Download Diva and the girl on the right is called Rock Chick. These fabby stamps, which are deeply etched rubber already mounted onto cling cushion foam, are a steal at only $7.00 each!!!! I also used one of Raindrop Echo Designs Fast Lane digi sentiments stamps Ann designed specifically to match the Whimsy KK stamps. I love digi sentiments as they can be resized to fit your needs perfectly. And I love this particular one, as this song is one of my favourite 80s tunes!!
Okay, that's it from me!
Hope you are having the most wonderful day!
Luv n hugs, Simonne x
