ThermOWeb & Whimsy Stamps Collaboration Day Four

Displaying Collaboration Graphic 3.jpg

This week Whimsy Stamps and ThermOWeb are partnering for a fabulous week of inspiration and prizes!  All week long designers from both teams will be sharing ways to add foils and more to your projects using products from ThermOWeb and Whimsy Stamps.  Read to the end of this post to find out how you can win!

For my first card today I used Whimsy's Friend Word and Shadow die set from the February release as well as the Card Builder Windows die set

I die cut the large shadow from ThermOWeb's double sided white Foam Adhesive and applied Deco Foil in the color Lime green which has a nice satin sheen. I die cut the word friend from black cardstock and layered it on top of the lime green shadow.
The lime green cardstock panel was die cut using the Card Builder Windows die set

My marbled background was created with Alcohol Inks on YUPO paper. Where the ink is pooling together it stays wet a bit longer and gets a bit sticky. This is what I used to apply the silver Deco Foil Transfer Sheets. After I applied the foil to all sticky areas there were still some areas I wanted to have more foil. So I used a brush and the Liquid Adhesive, let it dry and applied more foil.

Here is a close-up where you can see all the beautiful shine from the silver foil in the background and the shimmer from the lime green satin transfer sheet on the words shadow.

For my second card I used Whimsy's Speckled Heart Stencil together with ThermOWeb's Deco Foil Transfer Gel  and Magenta satin Transfer Sheets on light pink cardstock.

I used the Envelope Edger dies and the heart dies from the Sketched Elephant die set to create a border. On top I added the Smile large word die as my sentiment.

Here you can see the amazing sheen and brilliance the magenta foil gives the heart speckles. I also added a few gemstones and crystal drops from the Sparkletz - Jelly Fish mix to finish off my card.

~ Espresso-ly Great Day! ~

Whimsy Stamp's Donut Birthdays Clear Stamp Set, Coffee Break Clear Stamp Set, Coffee Cup Die Set and Espresso-ly Great Clear Stamp Set go together...well, like espresso and donuts....lol  You can mix them to make so many different cards...so much so, I made a class out of them.  You can see one HERE and the other one HERE.

I added Clear Wink of Stella to the icing for some shimmer and covered it with Nuvo Crystal Glaze to make it look extra yummy!  I created the corrugated coffee sleeve with my Scor-Pal, however, you can easily do this with a paper crimper.

Sending Hugs

Hello, again, Whimsy friends!  It's Andrea with you today.  Have you shopped the April release yet?  I think I say this every month, but this is my favorite release to date!  There are so many amazing, new stamps, dies, and stencils!

One of my favorite stamp sets from this release is the Hugs Bunny set.  The images are precious, and the sentiments are perfect!  I stamped that sweet image with Versafine Onyx Black ink and colored it with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and a waterbrush.  Once the image was dry, I cut it out and added some freckles with a white gel pen.

A sweet image needs a sweet background, right?  To create this one, I stamped the new Spring Flowers Background in pink and die-cut a border with the Envelope Edger Die Set.  I just love the stitching and scallops!  I die-cut the pink circle and white frame with the Shaker Maker Combo Die Set.  The frame was die-cut twice and layered for some dimension.  I adhered my colored image to the circle, trimming off a bit of the image.

The pink flowers were die-cut with the Shaker Maker Combo Die Set and given enamel-dot centers.  I stamped a sentiment from Hugs Bunny onto a top-folding card before adding my die-cut background and other elements.

Thanks for stopping by!  Don't forget about the fun, free CAS set for this month (pictured below).

Hugs,

CAS Thank you Card with Fly By

Hello, Whimsy Fans!  I'm delighted to be back with you.  Today I have a quick and easy thank-you card featuring the new Fly By clear set.

I started this card by creating the bright, sunny background.  I trimmed some masking paper to A2 size and die-cut a semi-circle from the upper left corner.  I placed the mask over some Bristol Smooth paper and blended on Mustard Seed distress ink.  After removing the mask, I inked up the Sun Rays Stencil with the same color ink.  I removed the stencil and blended with the same ink over the entire panel.  I added some water droplets and, once the panel was dry, die-cut it with the new Envelope Edger Die Set.

Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the plane and clouds from Fly By, colored them with Copics, and cut them out.  I stamped a sentiment from Fly By with Versafine Onyx Black ink, adhered the clouds with liquid adhesive, and popped up the plane with foam tape.

After adhering my background to a top-folding white card, I brushed some Clear Sparkle Overlay onto the plane.  For more interest and dimension, I finished the card with some clear Nuvo drops.

Thanks for stopping by!  Don't forget about the fun, free CAS set for this month (pictured below).

Hugs,
