Peaceful Winter Scene

Hello, Whimsy friends!  It's Andrea here with you sharing a peaceful, winter-scene, Christmas card featuring the new Winter Woods stamp by Dove Art.

To achieve a pseudo no-line look, I stamped that beautiful image with Memento London Fog ink and colored it with Copics.  After adhering my colored image (trimmed to A2 size) to a white card, I created a frame from teal metallic cardstock with the new Rounded Rectangles Dies.

I used a larger die from the Rounded Rectangles set for the white frame, which I adhered with foam tape.  I die-cut one of the Evergreen Trees Dies from white glitter cardstock and attached it to my card, placing foam tape behind the portion of the tree that extends beyond the white frame.

To create my sentiment block, I die-cut tan cardstock with the Card Builder Windows Dies and stamped a sentiment from You're My Jolly.  The "peace" die-cut is from the retired Holiday Word Dies.  After attaching my sentiment banner with dimensional adhesive, I added a couple of clear sequins for a little more sparkle.

Beaucoup Bouquet card By Céline

HI,
Céline's here to share a new card with you.
I decided to go out my comfort zone and create a special thanks card using Beaucoup Bouquet and Beaucoup Bouquet die set

For this card I first start to color all the piece of Beaucoup Bouquet set
Copics used :
R56, 46, 29, 27, 24, 89, 85, 83, 81
YR18, 16, 14, Y17, 18, 15, 13
YG 17, 25, 13, 97, 95, 93
G94, YG63, G21

Then I cut all the piece with Beaucoup Bouquet die set

I cut a piece of white cardstock with  Card Builder Windows
And I glue flowers and leaves on the top left corner to create a bouquet

I used the Word and Shadow die to cut in a piece of black cardstock the shadow and in a piece of orange papers the word.
Then I glue them together and glue the word on the bottom right corner of the white cardstock.

I cut a black cardstok at 13,3 x 10,2 cm
and a orange paper at 14,7 x 11,6 cm
and another piece of black cardstock at 14 x 11,9 cm
and my card base in a white paper at 15,3 x 23,8 cm fold in half
I glue all the parts together
and I added some enamel dots to finish

Combining Stamp Sets to Create a Unique Image

Hello, Whimsy fans!  Have you shopped the August release yet?  If not, hopefully my card will inspire you.

I paired the cute kitty from PURRe Love with a wreath from the Farmhouse Wreaths set.  First, I stamped the kitty with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then masked him before stamping the wreath.  After removing the mask, I colored everything with Copics, added a few highlights to the kitty with a white gel pen, and cut out the wreath.

With violet ink, I stamped the gorgeous, new Cherry Blossom Background stamp onto some matching cardstock.  I love the subtle look of tone-on-tone!  I trimmed down the panel with the Card Builder Windows Die Set.  With Versafine Onyx Black ink, I stamped a sentiment from PURRe Love and clear heat-embossed it.

I embossed a panel of green cardstock, trimmed it down to 4" x 5 1/4", and adhered it to a white card.  I popped up both the violet rectangle and my colored image with foam tape and finished with a few clear sequins.

Thanks for stopping by!  Don't forget about the free CAS set with each qualifying order.  Also, there's an "Anything Goes" Challenge going on now on the Challenge blog.  Come play along for a chance to win a gift certficate to the Whimsy shop!

Hugs, Andrea
