A Girls Best Friend - special guest - Pamela Schumacher

Hello everyone!

Just this side of heaven angels watch over all of our little fur babies that have crossed over the rainbow bridge.

Today I am sharing another guest design team project for Whimsy Stamps using the adorable clear stamps set called A Girl's Best Friend. As I created this little card all sorts of sweet memories flooded my heart...a little piece of my heart and soul crossed that bridge with our fur babies.

The background was created using Whimsy's Formal Lattice Stencil and distress oxide ink pads (Shaded Lilac, Tumbled Glass, and Spun Sugar). I added white Flower Soft to the clouds to give them a puffy look. Once dry I attached the animals and clouds with foam tape.

The gorgeous dies are also from Whimsy Stamps.

Thanks so much for joining me today!

Until next time ~ Pam xx

CAS Rainbow-inspired Pet Sympathy Cards

Hi there, Whimsy fans!  It's Andrea here with you today, and I'm sharing a pair of quick pet sympathy cards featuring the new Love Has Four Paws clear stamp set.

My cards were inspired by this cross stitch pattern I saw on Pinterest.  To create my version of it, I used one of the paw print images from the new Love Has Four Paws clear set.  I chose some rainbow colors of ink and went to town stamping paw prints all over an A2-sized piece of white cardstock.

Once I was happy with my "patterned paper", I die-cut it with the Stitched Heart Die set (retired).  For my first card, I placed my die-cut panel on top of a white card.  Using my MISTI I stamped the dog image from Love Has Four Paws, as well as a sentiment from the set, in black.

I adhered the die-cut panel to my card with foam tape.  For a little sparkle, I added some clear sequins.

My second card uses the leftover heart from my die-cut panel.  I adhered it with foam tape to a white card.

My sentiment is from Pets Fill My Heart, released in January.  Onto a strip of black cardstock, I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and white heat-embossed it.  I bannered both ends of the strip before adding it to my card with foam tape.  Again, I finished the card with some clear sequins.

Thank you for stopping by!  Don't forget about the free CAS set (pictured below) Whimsy is adding to every qualifying order of $75 or more this month.  Also, if you'd like to win some Whimsy cash, be sure to play along with our monthly challenges here.

Mix Media with Deb

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today we are sharing a unique mixed media project created by Whimsy artist Deb Davis using her Irreplaceable Friend and Furever in Our Hearts clear stamp sets. These sets, along with our other Rainbow Bridge Collection products, are the perfect sets for creating projects for pet lovers or someone who as lost a furry loved one.

Deb has used card stock and then stamped on paw prints from the Furever in Our Heart set and then used chalk paint to give that distressed look. The sentiments are stamped and then cut from the Irreplaceable Friend set as well as the Border Collie image. Deb used an old book page to stamp some of the sentiments, which is such a fun idea and a great use of an otherwise neglected old book. The sentiments are glued down, making this a relatively flat mixed media project. She also finished off with some extra distressed inks around the edges.

To see more of Deb's creative works, be sure to visit her blog Amped2Stamp.

Happy Stamping and mixed media creating!
