Birthday Wishes

Hello, hope you’re all enjoying the summer.  For a change good old England has been basking in a heat wave so not much crafting has been getting done!

I’m sharing a shabby card for this month’s DT post my shabby cards with this one today, not my usual colour combo but I absolutely love it.  I stamped around the edges of the layer with the In Stitches set.  I made a bit of a whoopsie when heat embossing the stenciled bird cage, I didn’t realise the stitching stamp ink hadn’t dried so it caught some of the white embossing powder.  I LOVE it!  That sure was a happy accident Smile  I finished off with a sentiment from the Lovely Lavender stamp set.

I made the flowers from Foamiran using my Peony Flower Die set as well as a  few other dies from my stash for the little flowers and a set of daisies.  I really do love making my own flowers, they’re so very easy to make and don’t take long either.

Thinking of you

Hi there!  I’ve a shabby card to share with you today, I just love this style which works so well with the Whimsy Stamps Clearly range.
I’ve used a few sets on this one – Bold Banners for the sentiment,  Flight of the Butterflies and Lovely Lavender for the butterflies and Lovely Lavender for the chicken wire that I stamped randomly ono the top layer.  I didn’t use a stamping block when stamping the chicken wire as I wanted an uneven, distressed look to the stamping.

I made a shaped card for a change, and enhanced the patterend paper by randomly stamping the awesome chicken wire stamp from the Lovely Lavender stamp set the top layer.  LOVE this stamp ♥♥♥  I also stamped out butterflies from the Flight of the Butterflies stamp set (also Whimsy)  onto patterend paper and fussy cut them out, as well as the beautiful sentiment.

Wee Poppy

Hi there, for my DT post this month I thought I would share a card made using the super sweet Poppy from Whimsy Stamps, new out this month. I also used the In Stitches stamp set and randomly stamped some stitching around the edges of the papers.  The sentiment is from the Flight of the Butterflies stamp set.

I coloured Poppy with copic markers.  I also stamped some lavender from the new Lovely Lavender stamp set (also Whimsy).  How neat are they!?!  This stamp set is going to be super useful, especially that chicken wire stamp which I have used on the card I will be posting next week.
