Hello, Whimsy friends! Today we welcome Anika Mercier back to the Whimsy blog!
Hi Everyone,
I'm excited to be back with my second card as a guest designer for Whimsy Stamps this month. When I was asked to guest design I knew I had to use one of my favorite stamps sets of all time - Whimsy Stamps' Bunny Balloons 2. Well, I actually snuck in two of my favorite stamp sets since I also used Whimsy Stamps' Bunny Balloons. These adorable bunny images just make me so happy!
Images
To start, I stamped two of the images from Bunny Balloons 2 and one image from Bunny Balloons onto Strathmore's Bristol Smooth cardstock with VersaFine Clair's Nocturne ink and then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. Next, I colored the images using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers in the following colors: Gray Brown, Gray Tint, and Pale Pink for the bunnies; Almond Pink, Lilac, Green Shadow, and Shadow Mauve for the balloons.
Background Details
For the focal panel, I wanted to create a sense of sky so I lightly went around the left and bottom sides of the bunnies with the Light Blue Zig Clean Color Real Brush Marker. I love the soft, added depth this gives the card.
Once the watercoloring had dried, I ran the focal panel through my die cut machine with a stitched rectangle die.
Sentiment
To create the sentiment, I stamped one from Whimsy Stamps' Bunny Balloons 2 stamp set directly into the focal panel using VersaFine Clair's Nocturne ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. There are several other really cute sentiments in both of these stamp sets.
I hope you enjoyed the card. Thanks for stopping by!
Thank you, Anika, for this adorable inspiration!

Whimsy friends, head on over to Stephen's Instagram Page for a closer look at all his fantastic designs and all the details of their creation. The images are linked, so you can just click straight through on each one.
Stephen's first creation used the cutest image from Dustin Pike called Dragon Belly Rubs to create a super cute 'missing you' card. I just LOVE Stephen's colouring on this and that sentiment is SO perfect.
Stephen's second creation was utterly perfect for St Patrick's Day celebrations and used a sweet image from our Meljen's Collection called Shamrock Bear. How fabulous is this?! I just LOVE the depth of Stephen's shading, it gives such great dimension on this cute bear!
For Stephen's final creation, he chose this adorable 'Harvest Bunny' from our Some Odd Girl Collection. I LOVE the strong colours Stephen used on this bunny and those awesome clouds! An absolutely fabulous creation.
The Divas will be back next week with our final showcase for the month of March, so watch this space! You will find plenty of inspiration until then, on our Whimsy Stamps Facebook Page, so be sure to stop by for your inspiration top up.
Huge thanks to Stephen for his fantastic creations this month, such masterful colouring, we loved each and every creation! See you again very soon folks, with another Whimsy Stamps Digital Crafting Adventure. Hugs xoxo

Hello, Whimsy fans! Today we welcome the talented Ashley Ebben back to the Whimsy blog, and we know you're going to love the beautiful card she is sharing with us!
Hello friends! I am back on the Whimsy Stamps blog today for my second post as a guest designer! One of my favorite things in the world to do is read. So when I saw the Mermaid Escape stamp in the store, I knew I had to use that reading mermaid!
I started by blending Distress Oxide inks in Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, and Mermaid Lagoon onto white cardstock. I then took the waves stamp from Splash and stamped it up the background in the coordinating Distress Oxide color, masking as I went. I love the soft pattern this gave my water! I splattered some shimmer ink and white acrylic paint across the whole piece for a bubbly effect. For more bubbles, I cut the Slimline Connected Bubbles die from vellum and added it to the background. I then added the background to a piece of Blurry Flurries paper in a similar color scheme to finish the watery look.
I stamped several images from Mermaid Escape in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and colored with Copics. The mermaid got a sparkly rainbow tail at the request of my three year old daughter :) I fussy cut the images out and added them to the card to make an underwater paradise. I stamped the sentiment onto navy cardstock with VersaMark ink and embossed with white. I added it to the card with some foam tape, then finished with a sprinkling of iridescent jewels for extra sparkle.
Thank you so much to Whimsy Stamps for having me, and thanks to you for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
