Speckled Heart Bling!

Hiya, Bev here with a card featuring products from the latest release.  I fell in love with the Speckled Heart Stencil, and decided to go BLING using embossing ink and powder instead of paste.  I think I kinda got the bling down pat.

I started off by applying the ink pad direct to paper through the stencil, then sprinkled over the embossing powder and heat set.  I used a glittery EP and the sparkle IRL is fabulous!  Once I'd heat set it I die cut the layer using the Notched Squares Die set.

I made with some foamiran flowers using the Peony Flower Die Set, glitter card and vellum leaves and some clear acrylic drops.

I stamped and heat embossed the friend sentiment onto vellum and stuck this down (the bold lettering makes the perfect hiding spot for the glue.)

Last 2017 Christmas card, and a video too

Hello everyone, hope you all had the most wonderful Christmas.  Here’s my very last Christmas card for 2017, and I’ve made a video tutorial of how I put the card together.

I’ve used more of the exquisite digital papers from Whimsy Stamps that’ve been designed by Tracy.  Love, love, love these gorgeous shabby patterns.  I’ll pop the links to the products and also the video at the end of the post.

I made foamiran flowers – a poinsettia and some mini.  There are videos on my channel for the Poinsettia tutorial and also the Easy Foamiran Roses tutorial

I used one of my all time favourite sentiment and die sets – The Happy Sayings Die and coordinating stamp set.
Lots of glitter on this one.  I really do love making Christmas cards, total glitter overload lol.

And here’s the video

Happy New Year to you all.

Blue Christmas

It’s been a while since I used digi papers but when I saw the new ones at Whimsy Stamps it was love at first sight.  SO my colours and style.  Total love!

I made some Hellebores from foamiran – man I love this stuff!  I have tons and tons of mulberry flowers that I really should use but I can’t leave the foamy stuff alone lol.  The silver fringy centre in the small hellebore is cut from the Hellebore Flower die set, and before heating it till it curled I gave the fringing a coat of silver acrylic paint.  I need to experiment more, I think the fringe will be fab for daisy centres too.
I added some glitter holly leaves and some pearlescent green leaves (out with the old sparkly paint again) and some berries.

I die cut a couple circle frames because I didn’t want to cover up the gorgeous paper with doilies and stuff, this way the paper is all still visible.  A change for me cuz I tend to cover everything up when I get totally carried away.

Little Christmas Angel

A very pink and girly Christmas card featuring one of the new Whimsy Stamps releases.  I adore Crissy Armstrong's images and this newest one is so so sweet.  The links to the products in the Whimsy Store are at the end of the post.

I made the poinsettias from foamiran and my the Lily Flower dies.  The little cherry blossom type flowers are made using  Peony Flower dies.  I love how the poinsettias turned out.  They were made from white foamiran and coloured with oil pastels.

Thanks for stopping by, have a fabulous week!

Have a Sunshiney Day

Hello!  It looks like the only summer days the UK is going to get ……. again ……. are those we create ourselves, so here’s a bright and summery card for Whimsy Stamps.  With this ridiculously wretched weather we’re having this side of the pond I need all the bright I can get my hands on.

I went digi today and decided to colour up Penguin Swings – now seriously, can you get any cuter than this?!?  I used the Sunshiney Day sentiment from my Vintage Sentiments stamp set, it was perfect for the sweet image.  I finished off the card with some foamiran flowers.  The large pink and blue flowers are made from my Peony Flower Die Set.

I finished off the flowers with some crinkled organza ribbon.
