Howdy - MichelleO here today and now that Fall is here it is time to start
preparing for Christmas right? And there are so many wonderful Christmas
images at Whimsy Stamps to play with. And this image was really fun to
play with as a Digital image. This is Christmas Mermaid by Crissy Armstrong...
I
have been having so much fun playing with Digital images! And this
Mermaid... well lets just say I tried a few oceans on her before I
decided on this one! LOL I chose a free iamge and then placed her over
it before printing. Printed it out then colored her with my Copics
(colors below) I love how she becomes a part of the ocean! Her and her
little swimming friends. Then they all had to have some Rangers Stickles
added to their hats for some bling!
My pattern papers
are scraps from long ago that I sewed together. I pulled out all my leaf
dies and found a couple that looked like they could be under the water
plants. The green leaves are from Whimsy's Leaf Foliage 2 Die Set. And the purple is a retired die. For my sentiment at Merry Christmas -
I think she is fun.. and a great image for someone that loves a little under the sea adventures!
Here is my Copic colors used -

Thanks so much for looking... now head over to the Whimsy Stamps store and have some fun!

Making Way For Santa
Friday, September 14, 2018
Good morning from Pam in South Carolina ~ It's my turn on the Whimsy Blog today ~ and I've selected Crissy Armstrong's Christmas Mermaid Digital image to make a Shaker Card with an underwater scene for her.
Here's my completed project and the directions so hopefully you can make your own for the upcoming season.
First I did several background choices, using a open bubble stamp with different shades of oxide inks stamped onto navy blue paper and sat those aside to dry. I used an under the sea window die on a wave embossed paper and by using the DIGITAL image, it allowed me to size the Christmas Mermaid to fit exactly into the opening. After printing the image, I hand drew in the scales, Copic colored, and then fussy cut her out. To add a little extra bling, I covered her tail fin with silver sequins and added several clear flat back bubbles and the red starfish. For the shaker addition I used light blue seed beads. Once sandwiched all together and I finished the top by coloring the sea weed and adding the banner 'Make way for Santa' Now Christmas Mermaid is ready for mailing or decorating my home.
I hope you will check out all the products on Whimsy Stamps, especially the Digital Products.
Thanks so much for visiting the Whimsy Blog today. Your comments are always welcome.
May your day be Blessed ~ Pam

Christmas Mermaid
Sunday, September 9, 2018
What for a great New Release this month. This time I use the digital stamp from Crissy, called Christmas Mermaid.
Do you know Kit and Clowder? There you can learn a lot of techniques for coloring. I learned a much.
This month theme is underwater world. I fall in love with this theme. Look at this wonderful scene. Instead of the turtle I try it with the Christmas Mermaid from Whimsy stamps. I think this will be a perfect combination.
I used the pencil course and my Prismacolor Pencils to made this picture. I will frame it and bring it to my wall in my craft room.
This was my inspiration for this monthly post. Hope you like it :)
Thanks for visit the blog and see you soon.
Hugs Ute
