Happy World Cardmaking Day from Whimsy Stamps

Hey crafty friends, it's our special day! It's World Cardmaking Day!! There's no way we can let this special day pass here at Whimsy without a little fun and celebration, so we're going to have a wee game. We will be sharing some of the amazing creations made by our incredibly talented Halloweeners Team and read right to the end, so you can pick up all the clues!

Now grab a big cuppa, because this is a long post and you're going to want to read 'til the end to get all the clues along the way. I encourage you to click on the images, to pop them up full size and enjoy all the creative glory these talented ladies bring to the table! I will tell you some are linked to a post or video or event, those ones you want to pay attention to! Down the rabbit hole we go...

Mid September we celebrated a very special person to us here at Whimsy, our incredibly talented Creative Director Deb Davis! Deb is a huge Halloween fan and she's the reason why we have this awesome team dedicated to bringing you all the Halloween goodness Whimsy has to offer. It's a rare treat to have creations to share that Deb herself has made, as life is usually too full for her designing the stamps and dies, but remember she's a huge Halloween fan?! Check out this amazing line up by Deb herself!

Next up we have our resident Cali-girl Denise LaRonge who has been wowing us with her amazing grungtastic designs. Be sure to click through on her name to her IG page to drink in all the fabulous details of these amazing designs. I LOVE the incredible features of her last design, it's an amazing scene with loads of texture and just check out the glow-in-the-dark elements, they're seriously cool!

Next up is our English Rose, the very talented Karen Murdoch, who is not afraid to embrace the creepy cool side of Halloween and brings us some edgy dark designs with a touch of the elegant but macabre. Whimsy has something for everyone whatever your Halloween flavours are and Karen has created some awesome dark Halloween designs, check out some of the incredible textures and details in her creations!

Our lovely Lauren Taylor is quite the social media goddess, so be sure to check out all the platforms where she's sharing her amazing work including the brand new Threads! Lauren has been making super cool Halloween creations and sharing some with us as awesome Halloween tutorials. If you've not found her channel yet, check out this fabulous Halloween Series!

Next up we have the amazing Rachelle Oltean, it's possible Rachelle has created more Halloween makes this term than all the rest of us put together and each one is a little masterpiece. Check out these incredible creations. I'm so crushin' on her amazing and diverse creative ideas!

Next in our line up of talented teamies, is the fabulous Wizardess of Cards herself, Rebecca Rapanaro and if you've not had the pleasure of reading Rebecca's awesome intros to her cards, you really gotta! I LOVE the stories she weaves about her creations and her stunning creations themselves, swoon, no fear! Amazingly creepy cool Halloween makes and much like our Rachelle, there's no holding this Halloween lovin' maker down either!!

Hailing from Italy is our fabulous Silvia Galloni, who brings her signature distressed mixed media designs to us giving her incredible Whimsy creations a unique and delicious mix of elements, textures and flair. There are so many gorgeous details and layers of texture and design to drink in with these creations. I love her distress ink work. This bella mama has got some seriously cool ink skills!

Next up is our formidable (whether you read that as French or English, it tracks!) mistress of masking and ink blending! Our lovely Sylvie brings her fabulous and innovative twist and talent incroyable to every creation she makes. Just check out the innovation with her shaker window designs, SO cool and man oh man, if you've not watched Sylvie's reels showing her incredible masked and ink blended creations, you really need to! They're amazing!

Next up is our wonderful Tami Bastiaans, many of you will know her as Tami B! Yes, THE Tami B! We are blessed to have Tami creating with us and she is such a great teacher, I encourage you to check out her Youtube Tutorials sharing her process in creating these designs. Tami is the reason I picked up a Distress Crypt Paste pot and I tell ya, there's SO much we can learn from this powerhouse of talent, so be sure to check out some of her brilliant tutorials. If you think you'd like to own a Tami B original, be sure to check out her Etsy Store too.

Now onto our wonderful chapina Waleska Galindo. I LOVE what Waleska does with colour, her fabulous ink blending and cool twists on a theme. Waleska brings a joyful mischievous twist to her makes and I love the way she's unafraid to channel her dark side too in some of her creations. Creepy cool and full of fabulous colour!

Final Halloweener to share is of course me, Wendy. I have been so inspired by our Halloween range this year, I have made the most Halloween designs I've ever made in a year! I've had huge fun creating décor pieces. I love decorating for Halloween, so creating my own décor is super fun. I like creating cute trick or treat boxes for the kids that come knocking too. The delight on their faces makes it all worth it and I've some younger nieces and nephews I like to make special things for. I hope you'll be inspired by some of my creations and do let us know if any of our designs inspire you to make your own décor pieces or if you're inspired by a technique or design the team shared. We aim to inspire! So nothing would make us happier than to hear that.

Now if you've made it all the way down to the end of this post, here are a few questions to answer and leave your comment here on this blog post. A random winner will be chosen from all the correct entries to win a $25 Gift Certificate to Whimsy Stamps. We hope you have fun hunting down the answers.
