Hugs Bunny

Hi Everyone, it's Faye here today :)

There's a trend for colouring your own backgrounds at the moment. I see some of the girls doing the most fantastic scenes and it makes my sweet little cheeks clench! So, I thought I'd show you something simple. Start with a scene like this and it'll give you the confidence to take the next step and try something a little more complicated.

I started by stamping these bunnies from Deb Davis's Hugs Bunny Clear Stamp Set. Then with a normal writing pencil, I very gently drew two hills. You want this line to be very faint... remember, once you colour over pencil with copic, you can no longer erase it. That was the hard part! Now I just need to smoosh a bit of blue copic down for the sky, leaving some random white space for the clouds. Add a little grey shading to the white space for cloud definition and colour in the hills. Add some dots to the top of the hill to hint at a forest in the distance, flick some grass along the bottom and you're good to go with colouring those cute bunnies. Sorted!

Stamp your sentiment, doodle a border and you're done. Worried about doodling a border? I've got your back. Try the FaDoodles Clear Stamp Sets :)

  2. Thanks for thinking of us "mere mortals" with your background idea. I do LOVE all the "just sketched in" backgrounds I see, but find them intimidating, I'll try starting with something simple like this and see where the wind takes us, lol. Love your sweet little bunnies too, Donna x
