Fresh Friday Feature

Hi Whimsy fans! We are exited to bring you a new feature on the Whimsy blog every Friday - Fresh Friday. Our designers will be mixing and matching some older and newer products together. It's always fun when you can bring new life to some of your older products in your stash when you mix them with some newer items.

For the first half of February, we will be featuring the following products.

Alanna has a fun and sweet card featuring the Brick Pattern Stencil, Hugs Bunny and the Stitched Border Trio dies. We love how she used the single stitched die from the Stitched Border Trio die collection to add some detail on either side of her card. And those gorgeous pink bricks going from a lighter shade to darker shade of pink? Fabulous.

Faye has used Polka Dot Pals Fern set to create a fun scene.  Doesn't Fern look great against the brick background made with our Brick Pattern Stencil? Faye sure did an amazing job of bringing sweet Fern to life. The added touches of hemp and cheese cloth help kick this card up a notch and is sure to make the recipient happy.

Special Guest - Anita Madden

Good morning, friends.  It's Anita here, and I'm so excited to be guest designing for Whimsy Stamps today!  They have amazing stamps, dies, and other products perfect for cardmaking. 

Today I'm using the Candy Mouse clear stamp, Starring Hearts 6x6 Paper Pack, and the Wavy Edgers Die Set.  I used a blending brush to add Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink to the base of my card.  I used a die from the Wavy Edgers Die to cut a piece of paper from the Starring Hearts 6x6 Paper Pack, and I adhered that to the top of my card.  I used Versafine Onyx Black Ink to stamp a sentiment from the stamp set.  

I stamped the image onto Neenah cardstock and colored it with Copic markers.  I fussy-cut the image and used a white gel pen to add some highlights.  I used a black glaze pen on the mouse's eyes, and I added Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the mouse's nose and teeth, and also to some of the candies.  I used 3D Foam Squares to adhere the mouse to my card.

I love this adorable image!  Not only is it perfect to make Valentine's cards, but it can also be used for other occasions.  This would be such a sweet card to send as a thank you or birthday card, or to simply let someone know that you're thinking of them!

February Release Available NOW and Inspiration
