Thanks

Hi everyone!

Kristie here today, my turn to share a Whimsy creation with you.
For today's card I used Mom's Layered Flowers stamp set and the Thanks Large Word die.
I stamped the biggest bloom outline stamp randomly onto my card stock.  I then took the inside stamp and stamped that using Summer Sunrise ink.  I filled in the background with leaves and some hearts.  The thanks is die cut from black card stock and attached to a piece of vellum.  Love that you can see the whole background even with the sentiment panel.

That is all from me for today!  Thank you for stopping by.  Have a great day!

Pencil Colored Masked Daisies

Hello friends!  I have simple design to share with you today:
I have taken the recently released stamp set called Mom's Layered Flowers and colored in the flowers with some pencils.  It seems like some of my craft tools just sit around and never get used, so I wanted to pull out my pencils to color with for this design.

I have used the Hand Stitched Nested Rectangle dies to create a panel with some kraft card stock for my daisies.  I've cut out a larger one for the base of my A2 sized card stock.

For the flower panel, I have stamped a couple of the largest open flowers from the stamp set randomly on the kraft card stock die cut panel being careful not to touch the petals.  (I have just used some regular black ink for this.)  I then used some masking paper to stamp and cut out some flowers that I will use for masking the other flowers that I have stamped to fill up my card stock panel.  I did the same thing when I stamped the stems for the flowers as well to fill in all the spaces.  I took out my Prisma color pencils to color them in.  You could use gamsol if you want, but I found it not to be necessary as I like the coverage that I got with just the pencils over the kraft card stock.  It's hard to see in the photo, but I also covered the petals with some Wink of Stella clear glitter and the very centers were dotted with a gold gel pen.

Here's a closer look at those details:

I layered the flower panel onto a piece of yellow card stock cut to size and then used some foam tape to pop it up over the larger die cut kraft panel for my card base.  I used a sentiment from the same stamp set and stamped it with black ink at the bottom.

Hope you've enjoyed my creation!
Thanks for dropping in!

Aleema

MichelleO here today and I just LOVE New Releases at Whimsy Stamps! For my first card I created a Graduation card with  Aleema from Mi Ran Jung for Whimsy Stamps. She is perfect for a Graduate Girl.

I colored with my Copics  - for some reason I went with black and purple... then I had to dig out some purple papers! Lol I found some great old satin papers that have great texture. And then I found a pattern paper from Graphic 45 that really matched up well. I sewed down the layers, but the white thread was really bright... so I colored it with a little light purple Copic marker to tone it. Found a black and white gingham ribbon, and colored it with the same Copic marker. Love matching with my Copics!
