'Paint in color'

Hello everyone, Cindy here today. Hope you are excited the weekend is here, I know I am!!  Today I want to share a card I made using the new Crissy Armstrong stamp 'Doggie Artiste'

Oh my, I had so much fun making this card. I used the Clearly Whimsy stamp set 'Stitched Alphabet Upper' for the sentiment. Colored the image with my Copic markers and had some fun with watercolors to do the background.

Hope you get to be creative this weekend!! Thank you for stopping by!!

I couldn't help but bring out Tilly with hopes that Spring isn't too far off.
This stamp is from the Little Cottage Cuties collection and is called Tilly Little Spring Helper
The sentiment is from this month's clear stamp new release called Painted Sayings
Thanks for stopping by today for a visit and here's hoping Spring may be just a couple months away!!

New Video - Die Cut Techniques

Hello Friends,

DT Vicki is sharing a new video today focusing on die cut techniques. This is a great project also for creating a more masculine card, which we know some of us struggle with. You can watch the video below or visit our YouTube channel for this one and more!

Tilly Little Spring Helper

Hi there, my card today features Tilly Little Spring Helper. She’s another new stamp from Whimsy Stamps latest release and was a total blast to colour.

Coralia!

Hi Everyone!

It's Shannah here today to share some Whimsy Inspiration with you!

My card today features the sweet 'Coralia' from the Art by MiRan Collection. She's an absolute darling! I have also used the 'Stitched Circles Die Set' and 'Vines Die Set', and all these are available at the Whimsy Stamps store.

My image is stamped in Momento Tuxedo ink and coloured with Copic markers. I then fussy cut her and the bubbles and added to an 'underwater' paper.
I used some brown cardstock and my Whimsy Stitched circle dies to create a porthole through some wood patterned paper, and popped it up over Coralia, so that she is 'peeking' through.

I diecut some vines and adhered 'coral' coloured flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, along with some pearl sprays. The sentiment is computer generated and diecut with a HOTP label die.

I finished with some stickles on the air bubbles, and some fabulous stars that I received in a Christmas swap from the lovely Maya Go! (Thank you!)

I hope you like it! You can see more details on my Blog;  Embellished ExpresShan's.

Thanks so much for visiting today and hope you have a great week!

Elisabeth Bell's Milly

Hi Everyone, it's Faye here today, sharing this gorgeous image from the latest release :)

This lovely girl is called Milly and she's by Elisabeth Bell. I must confess to having a bit of a soft spot for these delicate girls and their pretty faces. They remind me a little of some crockery my Nan had when I was a little girl. Who doesn't like those kind of memories?

Anyhoo, I thought she'd go well with some plaid paper and voila!

Thanks so much for stopping by... Have a great day.

Snowman With Love

Hello Crafters!

It's Kelly here and this is my first time posting on the Whimsy Blog. Exciting!!

This month's challenge is "With Love" and the brand new stamp Snowman Love is pretty much a perfect fit,

I knew right away i wanted to put these two love birds in a shaker card. They just look like they belong with snow (or glitter) falling all around them :)

I put together a video showing how it all came together.

Even though interactive cards aren't really what I gravitate toward sometimes it's worth all the work. This time I definitely think it was.

The Copic colors I used are C1, C3, C5, C7, C9, R32, R35, R29, R59, Y19, YR04, YR09, YG01, YG03, YG17, YG67, V12, V04, V15, and V09.

Thanks so much for visiting and I do hope you'll join us in the challenge. You don't need to use a Whimsy image (though we love it when you do) and you could win $15 in Whimsy Cash to the store!

Calendar girl Murali

Hello Whimsy Fans! How is the New Year treating you good people?
I hope you are having a great 2016 so far.

The project i am sharing with you fine folk this month is an
8X8" calendar, I have used the oh so adorable Maurali by
artist and illustrator Mi Ran, this is such a sweet and serene stamp
I think its perfect for a thinking of you card or for those
difficult to make sympathy cards.

This calendar was very easy to create you take 2 pieces of
A4 card score at 8", do not cut off the access because you need that
to attach the front of the calendar to the other piece of A4 and to
make the stand for the bottom, this will be the back piece
of your desk top calendar, the you score the. so without further ado
here she is. I coloured her with Copic and I also used pencils to get some
depth in the pleats of her dress and her hair.

Have a lovely rest of the week, and a fabulous weekend
Take care see you all next month
Hugs Bridget :) xx

Pieced Together with Love

Hello friends!  Vicki here to share a new creation today using some of the products that were just released last week.  This was a great release and I sure am having fun with them!  Here's my latest:
So I needed an anniversary card and thought that since it was so close to Valentine's Day that it would work just the same for a nice anniversary card too.

I have taken the Puzzle Pieces die set and ran one of the puzzle pieces through my cutting machine several times in both pink and red card stock.  I then glued them onto a piece of cheap copy paper and fit them all together like a puzzle and then cut them out in a heart shape.  I used some craft foam and cut out a piece behind it to pop it up on the card.

I then took the Scripty Love Word die and cut it out in some gold foil card stock and glued it over the puzzle heart shape.  I also took another heart from the Puzzle Pieces  die set to cut one out in the same gold foil card stock and glued it above the word die.

So then to finish off my card, I just took the coordinating You Complete Me Clear stamp set and stamped some hearts in red, pink and gold inks.  I also took the new Everyday Mini Sentiments and stamped the greeting in red ink at the bottom corner.

Hope you've enjoyed my card today!
Thanks for stopping in!

Kitty Ballerina

Howdy - MichelleO here today and I have been having fun with all the new Whimsy Stamps January New Release images and this today I did a little dancing with "Kitty Ballerina" by Crissy Armstrong.

I have a thing about coloring all kitties as a tabby cat... Just love those stripes I guess. I colored with my Copics and then added some bling with Rangers Diamond Stickles on the tutu. Then I cut out with a Circle Nestie, matted again with a circle and then a white Nestie scalloped die.

For my papers I found Cosmo Cricket's 2wenty-Thr3e collection. Colors ended up being just perfect for this one! Sewed down the layers then added a shimmer ribbon around the middle with two bows. Viva Decor Paint Pearl Pen for faux pearls in the corners.

Love the new "LOVE" die such a pretty script die. It too is a new Whimsy Release item this month.

Such fun with all of these new images from this months New Release. Now make sure to pop over to the Whimsy Store and see all the great images! You won't be sorry I promise! :0) They just make you smile!

Thinking of you

Hi everyone!
Kristie here today, my turn to share a Whimsy creation with you.

I started my card by stamping the plaid pattern using the new Get in Line stamp set.  I love how easy this set is to make plaid patterns.  I see a lot of plaid on my cards in the future.  :)  So many possibilities.

I trimmed the top panel with the stitched border die trio, then stamped the sentiment from Painted Sayings.  I then stamped the flowers from Retro Flowers around the sentiment.  Attached that to my card base using dimensional adhesive.  The center of the flowers are clear droplets.

That is all from me for today!  Thank you for stopping by.  Have a great day!

xoxo
Kristie
