One Layer Card

HiyaWhimsy Fans, Iris here! Hope you all are having a wonderful Sunday! I don't do one layer cards too often but once while I enjoy doing them. This one was published in Whimy's Inspiration Magazine / April issue.

This cute pup is called 'Darling Dalmatian' and is from the Meljens Designs Collection

If doing one layer cards it is best to use heavy card stock for the card base to give the card stability. I like to use Gina K Pure Luxury 120lbs. Even if I color using my Copic's it's not bleeding through and the inside stays nice, white and clean!  

 

 

 

I've added a ribbon and some bakers twine, topped it off with a matching red button and added the sentiment 'To be loved' from the 'Love Mini Tickets' collection from Raindrop Echo Designs. The small embossed lines on the bottom and the top is made with border embossing folders.
