Distress with Acrylic paint

It's my turn to share one of my October magazine projects today!  I picked up several of these fabulous ready to paint  frames from Hobby Lobby and made family Christmas gifts as well as Craft sale projects too!

Create the Backdrop Painted Frame
Coat the project with Ivory Acrylic Paint for the base coat, then 1 coat of Distress Crackle paint in Antique Linen

Next layer creates color spots like on a Giraffe with Vintage Photo Ranger Distress Crackle paint

With the Spiced Marmalade Ranger Distress ink and pad, push the color into the cracks and rub excess off of the surface

Allow to Dry and coat with Mod Podge to seal the paint

The Rest is Embellishments
Apply the Antique Linen, Walnut Stain and spiced Marmalade  Distress Ink colors to the Die Cut and Sentiment
Add Tulle, ribbons and Whimsy die cut with WOC flowers

I aged the lower WOC large flower with Walnut Stain and Spiced Marmalade and added the Gold Filigree corner piece
